Student Digital Equity Survey
Brockport families,
Each year, the New York State Education Department requires school districts to submit data regarding digital equity for students in kindergarten through grade 12. Brockport Central is asking families to complete a Student Digital Equity Survey to provide information on student access to devices and internet access in their places of residents, which will help educators better serve our students and families.
Please complete the Student Digital Equity Survey (New Student-Level Digital Equity Data Collection (2022-2023) | FamilyID) by Monday, January 23, 2023 at 11:59 p.m.
Student ID numbers can be found in Infinite Campus – Campus Parent on the “today” page or by calling your child’s school. Student ID numbers are also used as your student’s lunch ID and their Campus Student ID.
Instructions on how to set up a Family ID account are attached to this email. If you encounter any issues while creating your account, please contact Family ID.
Thank you,
Anthony Smith

New BCSD Web Site!
I want to remind you that BCSD has a new Web Site!
The new site will allow for easier navigation and consistent organization throughout. Features include, but not limited to:
- Enhanced handicap accessibility
- Each school’s website is organized similarly to the other schools and to our District homepage
- As shown below, drop-down menus and hot buttons provide for quicker access to highly trafficked pages
- Photos of department staff and teachers are also featured more prominently throughout our site for better familiarity
- Better notification system to include notifications by text, phone, email and pop-up alert on our website home page
Additionally, we have improved our website update procedures which will result in our new website:
- maximizing handicap accessibility
- maintaining consistency for each page
- ensuring information is more up to date
For your convenience, our new website can be found at the same address. Please take some time to explore the new website over the next few days. We have included the link below:
Academic Support Available 24/7!
Paper Tutoring Service Reminder!
Last year we were excited to introduce to our BCSD secondary schools the tutoring service Paper. Paper is a secure, online tutoring service that provides students with unlimited, 24/7 academic support with tutors who have been specially trained to conduct expert, academic support in a secure, chat-based platform. With a commitment to helping students learn, they will never give students answers, but rather interact with them in an encouraging tone to lead them forward.
Paper is a free service that we are providing, so students are encouraged to use it as much as they need, whenever they need. This year, we ask any students who would like to access this resource stop by their school’s main office to sign up. Once their account is activated, Paper will contact them and with sign in information via their school email address and they will be all set to access tutoring support in all of their academic subjects whenever and wherever they like!
If you would like to learn more about Paper you can sign up for a Paper hosted Parent Info Session, available in both English and Spanish. Or if you would like to speak to a member of the Paper team directly, you can reach them at parents@paper.co.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Rachel Kluth, Assistant to the Superintendent for Instruction.
