Top 4 Things YOU Need to Know

1. It's Teacher Appreciation Week! We have the very BESt at Broadmoor!

Watch Facebook as we'll be highlighting ALL our our awesome employees. If you can, take a moment to thank your child's teacher(s).

2. Our Fastbridge testing has started! This allows us to see the growth in students from August to May!

3. Permission needed! We give the mySAEBRS screener to students to see how they feel about friendships, school, and themselves. This is an OPT IN only screener. If you do not fill out this form, your child will not participate.

4. We have a TON of awesome events coming up.

If the event is open to families, we will make note below in the "Upcoming Dates" section. We will be sharing photos on our FB page and website. We have had so much fun this past week delivering our May Day baskets! Thank you to Mrs. McIntire and Mrs. Jamison for all their help coordinating and making it happen for us!

Talent Show is Back!

BES students and families:

I am excited to announce that the Talent Show is coming back to Broadmoor!!!

Any Broadmoor student is welcome to try out for the show! In order to be eligible, you must sign up by Friday, May 10th. If you are interested in auditioning, please come by the Band room, write down your name, your teacher's name and the act that you will be performing. Examples of acceptable acts include the following: singing, dancing, instrument playing, magic tricks and gymnastics.

Auditions will take place during the school on Friday, May 17th. All auditionees must be fully prepared to try out or their act will not be considered. Singers must use KARAOKE style music (no singing along with the performing artist allowed). Be sure to know what key your version is in and be ready to tell me whenever you try out.

All acts must be 3 minutes or less.

The Talent Show will be on May 23rd at 9:00 a.m. in the Broadmoor Gym!

Camp Invention is Back!

Camp Invention is back this year -but will be held at BES. Check it out:

BES Camp Invention Registration

Who: Curious kids entering grades K-6.
What: A confidence-boosting STEM summer camp where kids build creative inventions and lasting friendships. Led by qualified local educators, our camps offer new and exciting hands-on experiences every year.
Where: Broadmoor Elementary
When: 6/3 - 6/6 from 8:00 - 4:00 p.m.

4. 5th Grade "Peace Out" Going Away Pancake Breakfast: We cannot wait to celebrate our 5th Grade class, as they prepare to move up to Middle School! We will be hosting our "Peace Out" Farewell Pancake Breakfast for the entire 5th Grade class, on the last day of school, Thursday, May 23rd, at 8am in the BES Commons. Congratulations students! We are so excited to celebrate your continued success in Middle School!
