The Big Idea is a program that may offer meat, fruits and vegetables, refrigerated and frozen items and/or dry goods along with other community resources. The next Big Idea giveaway will be February 27 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Please bring bags to take food home. Please park by and enter door #7. All families with a child in Cowan Schools are welcome.

**Crabtree Photography will be taking spring portraits on February 28th.

BEFORE PHOTO DAY

Payment with cash, check or money order.

• Please have your order form filled out completely, with exact payment sealed in the envelope. The student will turn this in on photo day.

Place your Prepay order securely online by following the steps below.

• Online ordering is OPEN NOW, and will be CLOSED 48 hours after photo day!

• Enter your students first, last name, and grade. If you have more than one student AT THIS SCHOOL, you may enter their information as well. This is how we will match the photo to your order.

• Choose your package for the first student, and/or add-on items, add to your cart.

• Repeat the process if you have more than one student.

• Click on your cart, and complete the check-out process.

• You will receive an email confirmation within 24 hours of placing your order. If you do not, please call the Crabtree Photography office (765) 747-6971 to check the status of your order. There's no need to bring any paperwork with you on photo day! When you receive the email confirmation, we have received your order!

• After the 48 hours, your order may be subject to additional fees so please act NOW.

Our dumpster will be accepting CLEAN paper, cardboard, plastic jars/jugs, aluminum, steel, tin cans, and glass. Non-recyclables such as plastic bags/wraps, cords, hoses, chains, batteries, electronics, and food/liquid can't be accepted by the recycling program.

The Children’s Clothing Center of Delaware County, Inc., offers new and used clothing to Delaware County students in need. If you are interested, please contact the elementary office for a referral from the principal. The referral can then be completed and taken to the center. Hours of operation are listed on the referral form.

Cowan Elementary School kindergarten enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. Parents will be notified by letter as to what time they should attend. Please bring your child, his/her birth certificate, and two (2) pieces of verification showing proof of residency in the Cowan school district. Examples of proof of residency are: driver’s license, state I.D., voter registration, insurance forms, lease agreement, purchase agreement (if it denotes residency), property tax payment, mortgage receipt, moving bill, or utility bill. The document(s) must show address. Families living outside of the Cowan district may apply to attend as well and are required to complete a transfer application. If you know of a child who will be entering kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school year, please pass this form along to them or ask them to call the office. Children must be five (5) years of age by August 1, 2025. Please return this registration form by March 14, 2025 to: Cowan Elementary School, ATTN: Mrs. Breedlove, 1000 West Co.
