Cold WeatherMemoYour help is needed...

As we brace ourselves for the upcoming cold weather, it's crucial to ensure that our school is adequately prepared to handle the potential challenges associated with freezing temperatures. To this end, please review the following points and help take the necessary precautions in your classrooms to avoid freezing pipes.

1. Temperature Monitoring:
Please monitor the indoor temperatures of your classrooms regularly. Ensure that thermostats are set to maintain a consistent and safe temperature to prevent pipes from freezing. Report any heating or temperature issues as soon as you observe them.

2. Drip Faucets:
Please leave a small amount of water running from faucets connected to exterior walls. This slight movement can help prevent the water in pipes from freezing.

3. Open Cabinet Doors:
Open cabinet doors under sinks to allow warm air to circulate around pipes, especially if they are located on outer walls.

4. Windows and Doors:
Please check for drafts around windows and doors. If you observe any gaps or cracks please contact Kim and Chris so they can seal the gabs.

If there are any concerns or areas that need attention, please communicate them promptly.
