THE WEEKLY LION REVIEW
RUSHVILLE CONSOLIDATED HIGH SCHOOL
WEEK 15
This week I had two students come to me to put together a memorial for two classmates who have tragically lost their lives this year. After a lot of brainstorming they came to the conclusion that a memorial garden would be great. In this garden they wanted to put two benches in honor of each student. The decision was made that we at RCHS would collect plastic bottle caps to have recycled into two permanent benches to put into the garden. This started off simple by putting flyers around the school and quickly developed into something even bigger. All of the schools in our district caught wind and quickly wanted to join the cause. After this some local businesses wanted to get on board. This continues to grow every day and the collection process will begin on January 8th. This is what our community is all about. People helping each other in times of need without hesitation. This all started with a selfless thought of two high school juniors that was bigger than just them who just wanted to do something so their classmates would never be forgotten. Thank you Dana Durbin and Izzy Pavey for being such great humans!
We will be coming out with more detailed information as we get closer to the start of the bottle cap drive.

THANK YOU!!
RCHS Administration would like to thank the Rush County Community Foundation for awarding us a grant for second semester use! RCHS will be implementing an electronic hall pass system that will consolidate many of our different hall pass requests that are currently in place. This will help teachers and students to only have to access one platform for their hall pass needs! Thank you again for your continued support, our schools and community are so lucky to have this strong foundation! If you haven't seen all of the great things our foundation is doing, please visit their website https://rushcountyfoundation.org/
