Millis Middle

Principal's Note
Dear MMS Families and Staff,
Well, we made it! What a truly spectacular school year this has been. From the bustling classrooms and vibrant hallways to our incredible sports seasons, creative band performances, and unforgettable end-of-year celebrations, this year has been filled with so many proud middle school moments.
Reflecting on these highlights brings me to a bittersweet milestone of my own. This wraps up my third year as your principal, and it has been nothing short of marvelous. It has been an absolute honor to lead this incredible community. Looking ahead to the next school year, I will be shifting into a new district-wide role as the Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. Please rest assured that all of our students will be well loved and supported by our new incoming principal and our veteran, seasoned, and honed faculty and staff.
While I will miss the daily energy of MMS immensely, I am so proud of what we have built together, and I am excited that I will still get to support our students, teachers, and families from this new vantage point. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your open lines of communication, your trust, and your steadfast partnership over the last three years.
To our families: Thank you for sharing your incredible children with us. It has been a privilege to watch them grow, learn, and showcase their unique talents every single day.
To our phenomenal staff: Thank you for your tireless dedication, energy, and the boundless care you pour into our students. You are the heart and soul of MMS, and it has been a true joy to work alongside you.
As we head into the break, I wish each and every one of you a wonderful, safe, and joyful summer. I hope these upcoming months bring you much-deserved slower days, plenty of time to recharge, and lots of great reading!
Thank you all for making my time at MMS so profoundly special. I have grown to love this small school, big family!
Enjoy the sunshine!
Take care,
Ana

MMS Student Handbook Updates
Dear Millis Public School Community,
We are writing to inform you that the student handbooks for Clyde F. Brown Elementary School, Millis Middle School, and Millis High School have been amended. This amendments were approved by the Millis school Committee on May 12, 2026 and are currently in effect.
These updates include revisions to ensure that our school procedures and policies are fully aligned with current Massachusetts laws regarding student discipline, harassment, and bullying. In addition, the amendments reflect changes recommended to support alignment with policies reviewed and approved by the Millis Public Schools School Committee in Fall 2025.
Our goal in making these updates is to maintain consistency across all schools while ensuring a safe, supportive, and legally compliant learning environment for all students.
We encourage families to review the handbook amendments, which are available on each school’s website. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s school.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
Sincerely,
Ana B. Hurley
Principal
