IMPORTANT REMINDERS FOR COUGAR PARENTS AND GUARDIANS
EARLY RELEASE DATES AND TIMES FOR JUNE 2026
Hello Cougar Parents and Guardians,
Early release dates and times for May are:
- June 3rd at 1:55pm
- June 10th at 1:55pm
- **June 16th at 12:40pm - Last day of school
The last day of school is June 16th and is an early release at 12:40pm. If a daycare provider picks your scholar(s) up, please make sure they are know to be at school by 12:40pm.
As always, if you have a Kindergartener, please make sure to have your parent card with you when meeting the bus. If you do not have your parent card or if there is no one at the bus stop to meet your scholar, he/she will be returned to the school and will need to be picked up from Cascade View. Thank you for your continued support.
INCOMING KINDERGARTEN INFORMATION SESSION: JUNE 4, 2026
If you have a child that will be starting Kindergarten in September 2026, you are invited to attend a Kindergarten Information session on Thursday June 4, 2026.
Where: Cascade View Elementary Library
13601 32nd Ave S, Tukwila 98168
When: Thursday June 4, 2026
Time: 4:00pm
You will have a chance to ask questions and hear what Kindergarten will be like for you and your child. There will be a tour of the school and will learn about bus safety.

THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL IS TUESDAY JUNE 16, 2026
It seems like we just had our first day of school but here we are, with the last day of school fast approaching! Tuesday, June 16th will be our last day of school for the 2025/2026 school year. This is also a 12:40pm early release day.
We can't thank all of our fantastically awesome Cougar parents and guardians for all of your support this year. We can't do it without you! We hope you have a wonderful summer and look forward to seeing all of our present and future Cougars back on September 2, 2026.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
We in the Tukwila School District acknowledge that the land where we teach, collaborate, learn and play is the traditional land of the first people of Seattle, the Duwamish and Muckleshoot people past and present and honor with gratitude the land itself and the Duwamish and Muckleshoot Tribes. As a public school district we have a responsibility for the stewardship of this land and we strive to work alongside the Duwamish and Muckleshoot people who have been living and working here since time immemorial.

Labor Acknowledgement We further acknowledge that the burden of environmental exploitation and systemic injustice falls upon the labor of black and brown bodies in the building of this country and its institutions. We remember that Black and brown people were born and died working this land against their will for generations. We also acknowledge the continued contribution of the labor of survivors – over the centuries to today – of all immigrant labor, including voluntary, involuntary, trafficked, forced and undocumented peoples in the building of what we refer to as the United States. As a school district leadership, we pledge to recognize and work against systems that have historically and currently enforce and create inequities among the people we serve.
