Parents-Please Respond ββ
In order to ensure that we have the right support in place for our students next year in terms of having enough teachers (smaller classroom sizes), classroom supplies, and staff support, we are hoping to get an accurate count of students who will be in attendance. Thank you so much for responding by the end of this week, March 6th.

Personal Electronic Device Policy
Many students may have received new devices during the holidays. Please see the following Aiken County Public Schools policy regarding personal electronic devices:
Pursuant to ACPSD Board Policy JICJ, students are prohibited from utilizing personal electronic devices or accessories during the instructional school day.
For this policy, personal electronic device means any device utilized to access the internet, wi-fi, cellular telephone signals, or to capture images or video. This includes, but is not limited to cell phones, smart watches, tablets, and gaming devices.
This also includes the use of accessories. Personal electronic device accessories include any wired or wireless accessory or wearable technology that connects to a device and any other accessory commonly used in conjunction with a personal electronic device.
Although middle and high school students may possess a personal electronic device, the device should not be activated or utilized for any function unless specifically authorized as part of an instructional directive by a teacher or other classroom supervisor. Unless school-specific exceptions apply, the above specified devices should be turned off and placed out of sight and not in use during instructional day. This rule applies during established school day hours and at off-campus activities during the school day. (Principals may further restrict use before and after school as necessary.)
For each violation the student will be informed that he or she is in violation of the Electronic Device Policy, and the student will be asked to turn the device off and put it away. A referral for Cell Phone Violation (Code 330) will be entered.

Important Information About School-Issued Computers π»
Help us teach your children/our students about the importance of internet safety. We have had a recent increase in students viewing inappropriate material or emailing peers about inappropriate topics on their school laptops both at school and in their homes before or after school hours. While the district does have filters on the searches, no filter can catch everything. Middle schoolers are very clever and figure out ways around the safety features. We highly encourage you to speak to your children about internet safety and further encourage you to monitor your child's computer use while at home.
Students who engage in inappropriate searches on their school-issued laptop during or outside of school hours may be subject to disciplinary actions including having their laptops revoked.
Student ID Badges π
Students are expected to wear their ID badges daily.
