Dear Families,

Welcome to our first official newsletter of the school year! We're so excited to partner with you for a great year ahead at Mason Ridge.

You’ll receive a newsletter from us every Sunday evening at 5:30 p.m. during the regular school year. Each newsletter will begin with a calendar of upcoming events, followed by important updates, activities, and opportunities happening throughout our school community.

Want to stay up to date on school events? You can sync the Mason Ridge calendar directly to your smartphone! Just visit the Mason Ridge website, click on the calendar, and follow the link to import it to your device.

We love having families involved in our school! Whether you’d like to attend class parties, chaperone field trips, or volunteer in the classroom or library, you must be an approved volunteer. If you’ve already been approved in the past, don’t forget to complete your annual training.

We know you’re eager to find out who your child’s teacher will be this year. Teacher assignments will be available through your Infinite Campus Parent Portal on the morning of Wednesday, August 13. Then, we hope you’ll join us for Meet the Teacher on Thursday, August 14 at 3:30 p.m. Feel free to bring your child’s school supplies to this event!

We can’t wait to kick off another wonderful year together. Thank you for your continued support. We're looking forward to all the learning, growth, and joy the year will bring!

Thank you,

Jenn

Smart Device Changes You Need to Know

Parkway Schools will be cell-phone free this school year

Earlier this year, Parkway announced stricter cell phone and personal device restrictions for the 2025-2026 school year based on input from teachers and families.

However, a new Missouri law now requires a complete ban on the use of cell phones and personal devices during the school day.

Cell phones and personal technology, including smartwatches, tablets, and laptops, are expected to be turned off and put away all day at all K-12 schools.

Volunteers needed!

All Mason Ridge volunteers must complete a background check and online training in order to attend field trips or volunteer for school activities. If you have already been an approved volunteer, you will need to complete the online training portion annually. If you have not started the volunteer application process, please consider applying over the summer so you are all ready to go for the first day of school and ready for volunteer opportunities. This is the link for the volunteer application.
