We are thrilled to announce our Annual Halloween Parade will be held on Friday, October 31st at 2:15pm! Students will line up by Door 2 (Kindergarten Doors) in order by grade (PreK, K, 1st, 2nd, etc.) and will follow the map to reenter the school through Door 7. Please see the map below for more details.

Following the parade, students will return to their classrooms. If you would like to sign your child(ren) out for the remainder of the day, please enter the school through the Main Doors (Door #1). Our secretaries will have doors unlocked for you to talk to your child's classroom(s). Please ensure you sign the sign-out sheet with your child's teacher BEFORE leaving with your child. To ensure the safety of all of our students we will ensure each family member who is picking up is in PowerSchool for your child before releasing the child for dismissal.

In the event of rain, we will be having the Halloween Parade in the large gym. Students will enter in the door across from the STEM room. Students will walk along the outside of the gym in a horseshoe and exit out the 2nd door across from the drinking fountain.

Students will return to their classrooms and follow the same check-out procedure as above.

Our Kids Club after school program is looking for snack donations! If you are able, we would greatly appreciate your help and support! Please sign up using the link below and bring snacks to the Main Office! Thank you for your continued support to our program and students!

If your child is in need of winter gear for this upcoming winter season, please submit winter gear applications to ejdepot.org. Distribution will take place on Saturday, November 22nd from 10:00-2:00pm at The Depot!

Smartwatches are not permitted for use at school between the hours of 7:45 AM and 3:04 PM, consistent with the existing cell phone policy. If school personnel see or hear a smartwatch being used during these hours, the device will be confiscated and held until it can be picked up by a parent or guardian.

Parents who need to communicate with their child during the school day should call the elementary office at 231-536-7564 rather than attempting to contact students directly via smartwatches.

Smartwatches may be worn as timepieces but must not be used for calls, messaging, or any other functions during school hours.

Since the start of the school year, our students have been busy learning our PBIS expectations for each location in the school (classroom, hallway, cafeteria, playground, etc.). Please see the flyer below for more details about our Playground expectations and games!

Our children may experience tough days every now and then. We don’t always get the opportunity to let the school staff know we appreciate them. Why not take a moment to write some uplifting notes to them? These notes can be given to them on days when they need a boost. It’s a simple way to brighten someone’s day!

Please read these drop-off procedures thoroughly. ALL students should be dropped off in our back staff parking lot (see map below).

• PreK: Students will enter Door #3 to head to their classrooms.
• K-6th: Students will enter Door #4 to head to cafeteria, gym, or classroom based on their grade level.
• Parents/Guardians: We ask that you stay in your vehicles and do not enter the building. If you need to enter the building with your student, please come to the Main Office.
