Principal's Update
March 19, 2025
Hello Panther Nation Families!
Spring is just around the corner and full of exciting events! We’re looking forward to many upcoming activities, including student-led parent/teacher conferences, our social studies showcase, and a trip to the Sea Dogs, to name a few. Your child's teacher will reach out next week to sign up for conferences. A reminder, your child will be present at these, as they will lead the discussion.
While the snowbanks are disappearing, the mud is not. Please make sure your child has boots/change of shoes for when they re-enter the classroom after being outside.
We have had an increase in toys being brought from home. They come in all sorts of forms, from attachments on their water bottles and stuffed animals to "fidgets" and items on their bags they bring into class. We know there are unique situations, and in those cases, there has been a conversation between school and home. However, we ask that you help by reminding students of the expectations at home, and if you see your child with a toy, please remind them it needs to stay at home where it will be kept safe. We have fidgets at school to provide when needed. We will be reviewing expectations with all students next week. Below is a sample of the review we will do with students. It is not new, but does need a reminder at this point in the year.
As always, thank you for your continued support in making this a great learning environment for our students. Be sure to check our website and social media for updates.
Sincerely,
Kim Sampietro, Principal
