What a great week this was!
Our ELA and Math test scores were nearly three times higher than the goal we set. Our boys' basketball teams started in the playoffs. Our choir delivered an incredible performance at the Pops Concert. And our PTO had a strong meeting to plan the months ahead. We have great people here at East Minico! When momentum is high, it’s worth celebrating. When energy is up, it’s also important to protect it. You have all earned this four-day weekend! Happy President's Day!
Flu season is in full swing. Here are a few simple reminders to help everyone stay healthy:
🧼 1. Wash Hands Frequently
Twenty seconds with soap and water makes a big difference—especially before eating and after being in shared spaces.
🤧 2. Cover Coughs and Sneezes
Use a tissue or your elbow—not your hands.
🧴 3. Use Hand Sanitizer
When handwashing isn’t available, sanitizer is a great backup.
😴 4. Prioritize Sleep
Rest strengthens immune systems—for both students and adults.
🥗 5. Eat Well and Stay Hydrated
Balanced meals and plenty of water help keep bodies strong.
