Child Nutrition Updates
Parents, guardians or students can add funds to their accounts in person at the school cafeteria by depositing cash or checks, or for a small fee, they can use the "My School Bucks" app to deposit funds with a debit or credit card. Visit www.coppellisd.com/childnutrition for more information about school breakfasts and lunches or to create or add funds to your child’s school lunch account.
Families are required to complete an application each year to determine their eligibility for Free & Reduced Meals. CISD is encouraging our eligible families to complete an application online at www.nlappscloud.com.
Family Friday Lunches!
Family Friday Lunches are back! Beginning Friday, October 3rd, parents are invited to join us for lunch on Fridays (Family Fridays!).
Waiting until October will allow our staff to establish important Cafe routines and procedures AND allow our learners the time needed to develop healthy, independent meal skills.
We will send important reminders and details as we get closer to October 3rd!
Want to speed up the process for checking in the Front Office? Be sure to complete the Background Check using the button below!

School Grounds
For the safety of our learners and staff, please note that school grounds and playgrounds are closed to visitors during school hours and during after school events.
1st Day of School
Let's make this the best. first. day. ever. Here are a few notes to make the day a success!
- If you purchased school supplies through PTO, they will be delivered to your class.
- Please bring a refillable water bottle.
- Be sure your child's teacher knows how they will get home (Walker/Biker, Bus, Daycare, YMCA, or Car Rider).
- Doors will open @ 7:20. Parents may walk their child to class!
- After dropping off your child, families can join our PTO for a Boo-Hoo (or Yahoo!) Breakfast.
- Check out our Wilson Facebook/Twitter/Instagram for photos throughout the day!
ALL parents can walk their child to class the morning of the 1st day of school only. You may park, enter, and exit through the front door of the school or the side Cafe doors. If you are not able to walk them in, it's okay! Staff members will be inside to help your learner find his/her classroom.
On the second day of school, please follow our regular arrival procedures.
Nurse Updates
- Please make sure to discuss any health conditions with Nurse Faulkner directly. Email her at cfaulkner@coppellisd.com
- Please make sure to keep an extra set of clothes in your learner's backpack for spills, mud, accidents, etc. They are often more comfortable in their own clothes than in ones that come from the clinic.
- If your learner has had any diarrhea, vomiting, or a fever of 100 degrees or higher in the last 24 hours, they cannot be at school or a school function.
CISD Parent Hub
CISD has developed a one-stop resource for families to prepare for the first day of school on Wednesday, Aug. 13. CISD’s Parent Hub is available at www.coppellisd.com/parenthub and offers beginning of the school-year resources and information on school breakfasts/lunches, transportation and more.

Birthday Celebrations
We love to celebrate birthdays at Wilson; however, we must limit the amount of educational time that is disrupted for these celebrations. Please adhere to the following guidelines regarding birthday celebrations.
Please contact your child’s teacher through email ahead of time to determine the day of celebration. Sometimes there are multiple children with the same birthday.
Please limit food items to something that is easy to serve, such as a cookie cake, cupcakes, or individual cookies. Healthy treats such as fruit kabobs are also a good option.
Please provide napkins along with the treat. (Plates and forks should not be necessary.)
Items must be dropped off in the office with child’s name and class section on it by lunchtime on the day of the celebration.
Parents and other visitors are not allowed to go down to the classroom during this time.
Teachers will pass out the treat during the last 15 minutes of the day.
Balloons, and other party favors or treat bags are not allowed.
Thank you for understanding and adhering to these requests. Please contact your child’s teacher with any questions.
