🍎 Principal's Corner
Hello families,
It has been an absolute joy to see our hallways and classrooms bustling with energy once again. The start of a new school year always brings a sense of renewal, and our staff has been working tirelessly to ensure this year is our best one yet.
As we settle into September, our primary focus is on establishing the routines that will carry our students through a successful academic year. Children thrive on predictability, and the habits formed during these first few weeks are foundational. You can support this at home by setting consistent bedtimes, designating a quiet space for homework, and having your child pack their backpack the night before.
Thank you for trusting us with your children. I encourage you to stay engaged, read our weekly updates, and reach out to your child’s teachers or myself with any questions. Let’s make it a great month!
Uplift Pine River Kids
Uplift Pine River Kids is a community supported food program for Pine River students. Uplift’s goal is to supply families/students with extra food on the weekends and holidays during the school year. The bags of food will be delivered to your student’s locker after school. They are placed in the student’s locker by a staff member. Uplift does not know any student’s name. We are just given a number of bags to be delivered to each building. Parents may pick up family members' bags. If you are stretching your budget to purchase food for your family, let Uplift help you. Uplift’s goal is to make sure no student goes hungry. To sign up, please go to pineriver.org and click on the uplift link.
🚗 New Drop-Off and Pick-Up Procedures
To ensure a safe and smooth start to the day, we have updated our traffic flow for the new school year. All student drop-offs and pick-ups will now take place in the front of the school. Please be aware that the parking lot has transitioned to a one-way traffic pattern, and the designated drop-off zone is now restricted to a single lane only. We kindly ask that all drivers remain patient, follow the directed traffic flow, and exercise extra caution during arrival and dismissal times to help keep our school community safe
Important Information
Help Desk: Starting Tuesday September 8th, every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:20-4:30 is help desk. Students can stay after school in Mrs. Hill's room to get caught up on their homework. There is at least one teacher that is available to help students during this time. Please make sure you are here at 4:30 to pick your student up.
Popcorn Fridays: Starting Friday, September 11th, popcorn will be available to purchase every Friday. Your student can pay each week or there was a form sent home with your child on Wednesday Sept. 9th. There are extra forms in the office.
After School: We always encourage students to attend sporting events after school. However, student spectators may not stay after school while waiting for the sporting events to begin. They need to go home at the end of the school day and come back at the time of the event. Siblings also cannot stay during practices.
