Hello Miller Families!
We have officially made it to the final week of the 2025–2026 school year! It has been an absolute honor to watch your children learn, grow, and thrive throughout the past year. Seeing them run into the building each morning with big smiles and endless excitement has been the best part of our days. We hope you’ll take a moment to look back and celebrate how much they’ve grown socially, emotionally, and academically, we are incredibly proud of every single one of them.

Walk Down Memory Lane & Retiree Clap Out
Over the past two weeks, we've had a lot of celebrations at Miller Elementary! We clapped out all of our children participating in the Exceptional Greenmen Field Day just last week. Additionally, our district provides one last celebration for our graduating seniors to take a "Walk Down Memory Lane" through the halls of all our schools. I had a personal experience to celebrate my own graduating senior as she walked the halls one last time!
Once our graduates left the halls, we honored 4 of our amazing staff members who will be retiring at the end of this year with a great big CLAP OUT and CELEBRATION! Our beloved, Mrs. Barb Kudley, Mrs. Laurie Kidwell, Mrs. Jenny Minadeo, and Mrs. Lori Kachur have all served at Miller Elementary for dozens of years and will be missed dearly by students, staff and families. We captured a few photos of their farewell, but there are not enough words to say THANK YOU for their amazing gift of educating the young child for so many years. You all will be missed so, so, much!

First Grade Parent Orientation at Craddock Elementary
Thank you so much to all the families who were able to attend our Incoming 1st Grade Parent Orientation last evening! It was standing room only, so your patience was extra appreciated!
I hope you walked away not only with some knowledge about what 1st grade will be like, but more importantly some comfort about all that's to come with the transition!
I attached the link to the slides from the presentation below. Have a fantastic weekend and please reach out with any additional questions, concerns or feedback!

Planned Absences & Attendance Notification Letters
It's that time of year when we begin to have students who meet the benchmarks of notifying families about excessive absences. If your child meets the threshold of missed hours, a letter must be sent from the school alerting you. Please also be reminded that it doesn't matter whether the absences are excused or unexcused. We have to track the hours missed regardless of the reason and communicate to you when benchmarks have been met.
This is also the time of year that planned absences often get scheduled. We have attached our planned absence form and policy. Please make sure you read through this important message and understand that planned absences and absences due to illness all count for missed hours. If you have any further questions, please let me know!
Miller Attendance & Transportation Reporting Form
In all our Elementary Buildings, we utilize a Google Form to report attendance, late arrival, early dismissal, and change of transportation such as switching from a bus rider to office pick-up!
To report an absence or change your child to a car rider or bus rider, please click the button below or scan the QR code magnet that we will pass out at Open House. This can be done from any device and your reply will be sent immediately to our secretary, Mrs. Toler.
If your child will be absent, you will use this form to report the absence along with the reason for the absence. We are working really hard to reduce the amount of phone calls, emails, or notes that we receive. We ask that you reserve those modes of communication for emergencies only. Thank you in advance for your help and let us know if you have any questions at all!
