Phenomenal Phelps Facts
Week of January 26, 2026
Message from Ms. Scheufele
As we head into the week, and with a significant storm in the forecast, I want to thank you for your continued partnership and support. Our students have come back from winter break ready to learn, and it’s been wonderful to see their energy, kindness, and effort across the building.
Please know how much we appreciate everything you do to help your children arrive ready for the day, especially during these busy winter months. Your communication, encouragement, and teamwork make a meaningful difference for our students and for our school community.
We will keep families updated with any weather-related information as soon as we receive it from the district. In the meantime, I hope you and your families stay safe, warm, and well.
The Great Kindness Challenge
January 26-30, 2026
Our school is excited to participate in The Great Kindness Challenge, a week-long celebration focused on building a culture of kindness and compassion in schools and communities around the world!
On Monday, January 26, 2026, students will receive a Great Kindness Challenge Checklist to use at school, along with a family edition to bring home. These checklists are a fun way for students to practice kindness and put compassion into action throughout the week.
We will be encouraging all students to complete as many acts of kindness as they can at school, and we hope they feel inspired to continue spreading kindness at home as well.
Together, let’s lift each other up, cheer one another on, and show the world that KINDNESS MATTERS!
PAC (Parent Advisory Council) Leadership Opportunities
We’re getting ready for next year, and we need your help! Our current PAC leadership team will be moving on with their children, so we are looking for a new PAC leadership team for the 2026–27 school year.
We are seeking volunteers for the positions of Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary, and Treasurer. We’re holding elections a little earlier this year so the new team can work with the current PAC this spring.
