The information included in these briefs is not intended to be complete and does not replace official Board minutes. Welcome to New School Board Director


We extend a heartfelt welcome to the newest member of the School Board of Directors, Ms. Desiree La Marr-Murphy, who was officially sworn into her position at the January 11th Board Meeting. Parent Information Night - How Can SpeakUp! Support My Child? (In Partnership with SpeakUp!)


Learn how your child can use the tools they learn in SpeakUp! to develop positive relationships and to have difficult conversations with important people in their lives. This lifelong skill is useful as students move through their K-12 school experience, are on the job, and as they enter college. SpeakUp! partners with over 40 middle and high schools in the greater Philadelphia region, including Upper Darby School District. Come learn more about our program! Click HERE to register.

Health & Safety Plan - Updated

The Board approved updates to the Health and Safety Plan, which will continue to require masking for all students and staff until the County Incidence Rate of COVID-19 falls below 50 per 100,000 people for two consecutive weeks and/or the County Percent Positivity of COVID-19 Tests falls below 5% for two consecutive weeks.

BHMS Bathroom Renovations Contract Awarded

Phase II of the renovations to the Beverly Hills Middle School bathrooms will begin this Summer, with the awarding of the contract for that work to McCarthy Construction. All remaining outdated bathrooms will be updated with modern equipment and district colors.

Mental Health Services Contract Awarded

The Board ratified an award for mental health services and analysis to Child Guidance Resource Centers (CGRC) for the period of January 1, 2022 through June 30, 2024. CGRC will provide mental health professionals and supervisors to be deployed across the District. These services will be paid for with ARP ESSER funds.

School Board meetings are held in person at Upper Darby High School. Meetings will also continue to be livestreamed to the District's YouTube Channel.
