Principal's Message
Lots to Look Forward To!
It’s an exciting time of year — graduation is coming up, summer’s just around the corner, and we’re getting close to wrapping up another awesome school year! We’re so proud of all our students, and the final grad list is posted in the Grad 2025 Newsletter above. Tickets for the Graduation Ceremony and Prom will go on sale on May 5, 2025. The links will be available on our website.
Our spring athletics teams are in full swing, with handball, slo-pitch, rugby, soccer, and track and field seasons getting underway. Good luck to all our athletes — we’re cheering you on!
Mental Health Awareness Week is coming up too. Remember to wear your favorite hat for Hats for Mental Health on Wednesday, May 7th to show your support!
Things are getting busy behind the scenes as well — staffing and budgets are being finalized, and May is shaping up to be a packed month.
Don’t forget: our final play of the year, "Chicago," hits the stage May 12–15, and our Year-End Band Concert is happening May 29 at 7:00 p.m. We’d love to see you there!
Thank you,
Curtis Starko
Principal

Skills Canada Field Trip and Girls Exploring Trades and Technologies Gett Conference
Students are invited to attend the Skills Alberta Provincial Competition field trip the afternoon of Wednesday, May 7, or the Girls Exploring Trades and Technologies GETT Conference Thursday, May 8th. This is an excellent opportunity for students to see trades careers in action and have opportunities to try hands on trade skills. Learn from industry experts in the field and network with employers and technical institutions.
Contact Ms. Entrup to sign up!
Student Parking
Students, please be advised to follow all designated parking signs at the front of the school and at Festival Place. These lots are patrolled by Strathcona County Bylaw Enforcement, and you could be subject to a ticket if parked illegally. Students are welcome to park in the front of the school and in Festival Place during the school day. At times, Festival Place will be closed to students during the dance festival season. We strive to communicate these changes as they arise. As responsible drivers, the onus is up to you to drive and park responsibly. This year, all Salisbury staff and EIPS staff parking has been moved to the back of the school to accommodate more student parking.
