O'Dell Families,
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Our first House Bash was a huge success. New house shirts for our returning students will be sent home in September. We will celebrate Labor Day on Monday, September 7th - so there is a nice long weekend ahead!
College week is next week, Tuesday, September 8th - Friday, September 11th. See the flyer below for important dress up week information.
Celebrate Freedom Week is the week of September 14th -18th. During the week, America's 250 years of Independence will also be celebrated. Click the link below for more information.
4th Graders are asked to purchase a recorder for music class. The recorder will be used throughout the school year and is part of the 4th grade music curriculum. Orders are open until October 2nd. Please contact Mr. Stamper if you have any questions.

4th Grade Recorder Purchase
All 4th Grade students are asked to purchase a recorder to use in music class wth Mr. Stamper. The recorder is used throughout the school year and part of the 4th grade music curriculum. The cost is $10.20. The purchase deadline is October 2nd. Please contact Mr, Stamper if you have any questions.

Parent Representative for Bobcat Council
Looking for a parent that is interested serving on the district Bobcat Council this year. It is a two year term. There are 6 meetings throughout the year and the purpose is to bring together families, staff, community members, and district leaders in an advisory capacity to:
Review student needs and district goals
Share ideas and community perspectives
Help identify priorities for improvement
Support a plan that helps every student succeed
Meetings are 5:00-6:30pm on Sept 9, Oct 18, Dec 9, Feb 3, March 24 (if needed), and April 28.

Child Nutrition - Free and Reduced Lunch Application, Lunch Accounts
A new Free and Reduced form must be filled out and submitted for approval each new school year. Please complete your free and reduced applications in School Cafe here: https://www.schoolcafe.com/CELINAISD.
Applications will start being processed and approved on July 22, 2026. The grace period will end September 27, 2026. Students will revert to paid status if a new free and reduced application is not submitted and approved by the grace period. Parents will be responsible for unpaid meal charges.
New Student Lunch Account: Please have your child bring their lunch or lunch money with them to school on the 1st day, or set up an account prior to the first day of school. Parents can monitor your students' accounts and place restrictions on their meal accounts in the school cafe https://www.schoolcafe.com/CELINAISD.
As a reminder students with a lunch balance from last year will roll over to this year! Please add funds to your child's account before the first day of school.
Want to see your child's name up in LIGHTS?
Celebrate your child’s birthday or half-birthday in lights! For $20.00, your child’s name will be displayed on the O’Dell Elementary marquee for their special day! If your child has a summer birthday, it can be celebrated on their half-birthday (six months prior to the real birthday). Access the link HERE
