Parent Communication Night
Highview is planning its first Parent Communication night on the evening of Thursday, October 8th from 4:00- 7:00 pm. During this evening event, parents will have an opportunity to connect with their child’s teacher for brief conferences in a carousel format. What this means is that families do not need to book conference times with teachers in advance. They can simply connect with teachers as they are available in our gym, cafeteria and Library.
Teachers will be arranged alphabetically in these spaces and parents can connect for 5-7 minute conferences with as many of their child’s teachers as they need to meet with.
The evening will follow the agenda below:
4:00-6:00 pm- Teachers will be available for parents to meet and check in with in the gym, cafeteria and library.
6:00- 6:30 pm- Teachers will hold meetings as grade level teams preparing parents for what to expect over the course of the year. Teams will cover key dates, major projects and expectations specific to each grade level.
6th Grade Team Meeting: Room 124 (Mallinger’s Room)
7th Grade Team Meeting: Room 226 (Olsen’s Room)
8th Grade Team Meeting: Room 222 (Hagstrom’s Room)
6:30-7:00 pm- Grade Level teachers will be available in the rooms above to connect with families unable to attend their grade level sessions and answer questions.
