First and Second Grade Puppet Shows!

It was fabulous to see the whole school head to see puppet shows, put on by Mrs. D's first and second graders, this afternoon. Narrators impressed us with their expressive reading, while other students used their acting chops to use expressive dialogue, cue characters in on time, and keep the action "on stage" consistent with what they heard in the story. Bravo, first and second grade!

RVS Important to Remember

On January 29th, we will have an early release day at 12:00. Bridges will be offered on this date for students typically registered on Mondays.
Students in the City of Ember book club will stay after school with Mrs. Miller this Tuesday (1/23) and next Tuesday (1/30) until 4:00. Students who usually attend Tuesday Bridges can report at that time.
Report cards will be sent home with students the week of January 29th.
Winter break is coming up from 2/26 - 3/4.

Coming to RVS: Rhyming Fool Crankie Picture Shows with Meredith Holch!

We are excited to welcome Meredith Holch to RVS on the morning of February 6th to engage our students in the classic practice of storytelling through the use of a crankie machine. Thanks to the Roxbury Free Library for helping us bring this program to RVS!

RVS Caregivers Group Updates

High Mowing seed fundraiser forms are going home today. Please let us know if you did not receive one. 60% of the proceeds will go directly to our school activities. Checks can be made out to the Roxbury Village School PTO and put in the attached envelope . Please return forms along with full payment to Tina no later than Tuesday, February 20th, 2024.

New Website Updates

MRPS administrators have been working to improve our website for students and families! Please check out the recent updates made to the curriculum, social emotional learning and wellness, and student support services webpages. Also, a reminder that all MHS air quality testing results are posted to our facilities webpage.

Central VT Community Free Distribution Center

The HOPE Coalition has been in contact to share with the Roxbury community that they are providing support in the form of relief supplies, clothing, fresh produce and shelf-stable foods, all at no cost. They are located at 297 Vine Street in Berlin and are open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1-4PM. Folks seeking more info can visit www.hopecoalition.net.

Next School Board Meeting: February 7th at MHS

All regularly scheduled meetings begin at 6:30pm. Board Members will either be participating virtually or in-person. This meeting will be held at MHS. Public comment is welcome at all meetings at the time period designated in the meeting agenda and/or as established by the chairperson. The agenda and link will be posted once available.
