Time to Celebrate!

Hello Panther Parents!

We have so much to celebrate around NPE lately! I can't know about everything so if you child won an award. please share with me and we can celebrate your child on PNN and in Panther Press!

Congratulations to our FCS Technology Competition Participants! Pictured Below!

A creative, enthusiastic group of NPE students recently participated in the Fulton County Regional Technology Competition on February 1st. They designed and presented projects in the categories of project programming, digital game design, 3D modeling, robotics, and animation.

Three students placed in their categories:

Nikhil Prabhu placed 2nd in the Project Programming category!

Vihaan Pusarla and Jai Siddam placed 1st in the Robotics category, and move onto the state competition next month!

Maya Govindaswamy (picture below) got silver medals in both the Geography and History Bees held on February 8th at River Trail MS. Maya has already qualified for the Geography international Bee in Thailand!

John Blanco, Marshall Kray, Teddy Goldmann, Everett Cox, Grant Backer & Thomas Pittman (picture left-right below) won 2nd Place in the City of Alpharetta Basketball Championship last weekend!

Lastly, but probably the most important-Through our Character Counts Program, teachers recognize students who consistently show progress with or demonstrate Student Success Skills throughout the year. We will be celebrating the following students on Friday March 7th and adding them to our “Wall of Fame” near the counseling suite. We are so proud of our Panthers! Check out their names below:)

Thank you so much for helping me celebrate these students and their growth!

Take the Georgia School Climate Survey

Your voice matters! Help us create a safe, supportive, and thriving environment for our students by participating in the Georgia School Climate Survey. I know many of our families have students at multiple schools; please note that each school has a unique survey link. The link in this communication is for New Prospect Elementary.

This quick, anonymous survey gathers feedback on our school’s learning environment, safety, relationships, and overall climate. Your insights directly influence decisions to improve programs, policies, and culture—and impact school ratings with the State of Georgia.

Please take a few moments to complete the survey by March 31, 2025.

Access it here: https://survey.gadoe.org/FM?sid=03CAA8E7

Dear Families,

We are excited to explore the possibility of offering a Summer STEM Camp to provide hands-on learning experiences for students interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Healthcare. As part of our commitment to serving the needs of our community, the Innovation Academy Foundation is gathering feedback from families like yours to ensure that this opportunity is designed to best support your child’s interests, schedule, and learning goals.

This camp would provide students with the opportunity to engage in real-world problem-solving, explore different STEM fields, and experience hands-on activities in a fun and interactive environment. However, we want to hear from you—what timing, topics, and price ranges would work best for your family?

Please take a few minutes to complete our interest survey by February 21:

Your feedback will help us create a camp that is accessible, engaging, and tailored to meet the needs of our students. Whether your child is interested in engineering, coding, healthcare, or general STEM exploration, we want to provide meaningful experiences that inspire curiosity and learning beyond the school year.

Thank you for your time and support in shaping this opportunity for our students. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Avery White at whitea10@fultonschools.org.

We look forward to hearing from you!
