In December, we will begin administering the FAST PM2 assessments for Reading and Math. Additionally, we will conduct mock assessments for Civics, 8th Grade Science, and Algebra. Please find the December assessment calendar attached for your reference.

We are excited to announce our 3rd Annual Winter Wonderland Semi-Formal Dance on December 5th in our beautiful courtyard from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Students will dance under the stars to the top hits mixed by DJ Dan. Since this is a semi-formal dance, we are not allowing students to wear jeans nor shorts. School appropriate dresses, skirts, pants, and shirts are encouraged!

Tickets are on sale and can be purchased online only, thru Rycor, for $20 each. Please note that students with a disciplinary referral in from November 4th to the day of the dance will not be eligible to attend the dance. No refunds will be given.

We are also in need of parent volunteers for this dance to:

1. Decorate the commons area from 3-5 p.m. and/or
2. Chaperone the dance from 5:30-8:30 p.m

If you are interested in volunteering, please email Ms. Santos-Mira at amira@pasco.k12.fl.us and let her know which volunteering opportunity you would like to help us out with (decorating and/or chaperoning). This past Wednesday, all of our 8th graders attended a special end-of-year presentation. We talked about what it takes to participate in 8th grade activities and the requirements for high school promotion.

A Parent Letter went home with students on Wednesday—please check those backpacks!

• Complete the Field Trip and Transportation permission slips.
• Make your $75 deposit on Rycor by December 12, 2025.

We will start Opportunity Hall on Wednesday, September 10th from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. This free tutoring program will be available to students who have Ds/Fs, are struggling with a concept, and/or are invited by their teachers. Opportunity Hall offers student support in:

• Support in organization and study skills,
• Assistance with assignments or skills that students may be struggling with
• A quiet place to study

If you would like to have your student attend Opportunity Hall because they are struggling with a concept and/or have a low grade (D/F) in a core content class, please reach out to your student’s teachers for a permission form. A parent permission form must be on file in order for student to participate in Opportunity Hall.
