Cape's Mission & Vision
Vision: We believe that the most promising strategy for achieving the mission of Cape Elementary is to develop our capacity to function as a professional learning community.
Message from Ms. Osterholm and Mrs. Sund
Dear Cape Parents and Guardians,
We are thrilled to be fully engaged in another wonderful year of learning and growth here at Cape Elementary School! As the first quarter comes to a close, it has been such a joy to see our students learning, achieving, and growing in so many ways.
Report cards will be posted in FOCUS on Thursday, October 16th. Hard copies will not be sent home, but one may be requested if needed. Please take a few minutes to review your child’s report card together and celebrate their progress.
October is National Bullying Prevention Month. Our school counselor, Ms. Boeck, has prepared several important lessons and activities to help our Cape students continue to build a caring, kind, and inclusive school community. We encourage families to talk with children about what they’re learning and how we can all work together to stand against bullying.
Our PTO’s Candy Bar BINGO was the biggest one yet! It was such a joy to see families laughing, playing, and enjoying time together. Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make it a truly memorable evening for our school community.
Mark your calendars for Cape’s Annual Trunk or Treat! Join us on Friday, October 24th at 6:00 p.m. for a fun-filled evening as we celebrate fall with our Cape families. We are currently looking for families to decorate trunks and for candy donations to help make the event extra special. If you’d like to decorate a trunk, please email Ms. Osterholm at NicoleDO@leeschools.net. Candy donations can be dropped off at the front office.
We also want to remind everyone about the importance of a nutritious breakfast to start the day right. Breakfast is served daily from 8:20 a.m. to 8:35 a.m.. Please be sure your child arrives before 8:35 a.m. if they plan to eat breakfast at school. Beginning this quarter, breakfast will close promptly at 8:35 a.m., and we will no longer keep it open for students arriving late through the parent drop-off line.
Finally, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to our incredible students, supportive parents, and dedicated staff. Your energy, encouragement, and teamwork make Cape Elementary such a special place, and we are grateful for each of you. We look forward to all the exciting things to come this school year!
Warmly,
Nicole Osterholm and Kristi Sund

PTO Message!
Dear Cape Families,
It is hard to believe we are already four weeks into the 2025–2026 school year. Over the summer, PTO funds were put to great use, and thanks to your support our students are already benefiting from additional classroom enrichment, SOAR celebrations, field trip buses, school assemblies, and more.
Our Otis Spunkmeyer/Nancy Daniels Fall Fundraiser ended on September 9th, and we are so grateful for your participation. This is our only catalog fundraiser of the year, and it helps us provide so many of the extras our students and staff. Order pick-up will be scheduled in mid-October, and we will announce the exact date as soon as it is confirmed.
We have a busy and exciting year ahead. Our Top Golf Fundraiser is scheduled for Sunday, October 12th. Later in the year, families can look forward to Pancakes with Santa, the Holiday Shoppe, our Spring Fling Carnival, the 6th Annual Fun Run, as well as grade-level field trips and school assemblies that will continue throughout the year.
To keep up with the latest PTO news, events, and volunteer opportunities, please like our Cape Elementary PTO Facebook page and visit our website at capeelementarypto.ptboard.com using the school code SXEABG.
With your continued support, we know this school year will be a success. Thank you for being such an important part of our Cape family
Share Your Cape Pride!
We would love for our current families to take a minute and write a review for our school on GreatSchools.org. Realtors often use this site when helping families move into the Cape Coral area, and your feedback helps showcase the wonderful things happening here every day. Thank you for supporting our school and helping us grow!
