It's a Great Week to be a Cavalier!

Happy Sunday Cavalier Families!

We hope that your families have had a great Thanksgiving break this past week. We have three full weeks ahead of us before the winter break and there are some great events coming up. We will have spirit days throughout the month of December and encourage our students to participate when they can.

We hope that you can join us this Wednesday, December 4th for a holiday movie night hosted by our National Junior Honor Society. The movie is free and we will have concession food for sale (see flyer below). We also have a PTA meeting scheduled for that evening from 5:30-6:00PM. This is our first year with a PTA and we are looking for families to join us!

There is a Winter Ball this Friday evening. This is an event where students will need to leave school and then return for the dance. Bookbags will not be permitted in the dance and should be left at home.

As a reminder, students are not permitted to remain on campus after school unless they are in tutoring or the Boys and Girls Club. Students should be picked up promptly at 3:30PM each day. We do not have staff to supervise students after 3:45PM.

We are looking forward to a Cav-tastic week with your students!

What is S.A.D.?

Feeling the winter blues? You’re not alone. Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is real and can make the colder, darker months tough. Keep your mental health a priority: get outside when you can, stay active, and reach out if you’re feeling down. There’s no shame in seeking support!

Capturing Kid's Hearts

This Month's CKH Character Trait: Responsibility - Own your thoughts, words, and actions.

Monday: You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today.

Tuesday: The time is always right to do what is right.

Wednesday: You can’t make the same mistake twice. The second time you make it, it’s no longer a mistake. It’s a choice!

Thursday: “I must do something” always solves more problems than “something must be done”.

Friday: There are two primary choices in life. To accept conditions as they exist or accept the responsibility for changing them.

Students who fight on the bus will be suspended for three days. If after a thorough investigation, fighting is confirmed, then the students involved will be removed from the bus for 30 school days. Under severe circumstances the Director for Transportation Services reserves the right to implement temporary or permanent bus suspension at a date earlier than prescribed by this regulation.
