Last week EMS hosted virtual Parent-Teacher conferences. Thank you for working alongside our staff! We want you to know how well your student is learning at EMS. Celebrate our families' engagement with parent-teacher conferences:

--We hosted 712 individual conferences (compared to 920 conferences in the Fall)

--A teacher averaged 34 conferences with families

We are grateful for you and the support you provide to your students' learning when at home. And, thank you for accessing Zoom to engage with our teachers. If you would like any up-to-date information about your student's learning, please contact our team.

Beginning on Monday 4/18, your student may be enrolled in a new FLX B/C course based on your students' learning strengths and weaknesses.

FLX B and FLX C courses are intended to provide your student with additional, intentional practice and support with lagging foundational or prerequisite skills as well as - perhaps - enriching your student's experience.

Your student will be provided their new schedule in Life class on Monday. And, it is also accessible online in PowerSchool.

From January through March, some of our students at EMS participated in an after-school art program. Students explored a variety of concepts, art media, and created amazing artwork. Throughout the program, students were asked to consider who they are, identify strengths, interests, challenges, and what is important to them. These themes of personal identity and celebrate of each individual are woven into the projects, resulting in these wonderful works of art, each as unique as the student themselves.

Call the weekend COIVD-19 case hotline on the weekend. It is self-automated; select the right school (per the prompt) and leave a message. The voicemail you leave will be directed to our Vice-Principal, Mr. Kelley so we can begin to identify potential close contacts.
