April 1st, 2026 is the beginning of open enrollment. We want to make this time extra exciting with a registration incentive! Every child who is successfully 100% enrolled by April 24th will receive a special mini plushie friend!

But what if i'm not returning to Barron for the 26'-27' school year?

5th Graders: Registration for your future middle school counts for your plushie!

Any other reason: All you have to do is complete your exit survey with Ms. Del Real.

Make sure to upload a bill from April to the application. (Water, gas, electric, even home lease)

Dear Barron Families,

We had another wonderful week of learning and celebration at Barron! Our students enjoyed special activities across grade levels, including egg hunts and Career Day. Thank you for your continued support in helping make these experiences meaningful for our Pioneers.

As we begin this week, we are entering an important time for our students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade as they take their STAAR Reading Language Arts (RLA) assessments. Our students have been preparing through focused instruction, symposiums, and writing practice, and we are confident in their efforts. If you have written a letter to motivate your student, please ensure that the letter is received by their teacher by Monday. Students will read their letters the day before their test.

How You Can Support Your Child:

• Ensure your child gets a good night’s rest

• Arrive on time to school

• Encourage your child to do their best and stay confident

Campus Reminders:

• Our campus will have limited hallway access during testing to maintain a quiet and focused environment

We will also celebrate our students on Monday at 1:30 PM as we recognize their hard work and accomplishments! STAAR rally parade!

Additionally, we ask for your support with the following:

• Breakfast is served from 8:00–8:15 AM only

• Please ensure that your child arrives on time

¡Tuvimos otra semana maravillosa de aprendizaje y celebración en Barron! Nuestros estudiantes disfrutaron actividades especiales en todos los grados, incluyendo búsquedas de huevos y el Día de Carreras. Gracias por su continuo apoyo para hacer que estas experiencias sean significativas para nuestros Pioneers.

Barron's goal -maintain 94% of students attending daily. We have dropped to below 94%. Let's make this week count! All students attend school every day!

The Attendance Committee in alignment with the EPISD District will continue to support all Families and students with attending school every day. Please follow the attendance policy so that every child meets the expectations of being at school every day and reaching their potential in learning. The campus will follow safety guidelines at all times and practice scheduled drills with students.

All visitors to the campus will need Identification before entering the campus.

At all times, visitors must report to the front office. Visitors are not allowed to enter the campus (past the front entrance) while school is in session.

We are excited to share that we have a security officer on campus everyday, all day! We welcome Ms. Lindsey to Barron.

Field trip season is upon us! We are so excited for all the amazing places our classes are going!

If you are wanting to attend your child's field trip it is highly preferred and encouraged by the district that all attending parties fill out a VIP application. This is to ensure the well being of all our pioneers!
