Riverview Report
Here's What's Happening at Riverview
A Message from Ms. Poulson
We had a lot of fun at Riverview in October! The Halloween Parade was successful, and it was so fun to see all of the different costumes. As the weather is turning colder, please make sure that your child comes to school each day dressed to be outside. If you need help with getting your child a coat, please let me or Mrs. Sullivan know. We will be outside every day unless it is raining heavily, actively snowing, or if the temperature is below 20 degrees. Thanksgiving break this year will be November 26th-28th.
Happy November, and have a wonderful month!
Thank you,
Ms. Poulson
Veterans Day
Veterans Day will be celebrated Tuesday, November 11, 2025. The American Legion will be coming to put on an assembly for us at 12:50 PM that day. We would like to invite any veterans that are related to our students here at Riverview, to come to our assembly if they would like to. If you would like to come, please RSVP to our secretary at damaris.sullivan@nebo.edu so that we know how many will be joining us.
We would like to add pictures of our veterans to our display that we are putting up in the hall. If you have a picture you would like to add, please either email it to jody.thorne@nebo.edu or you can bring a hard copy in to the school that we can scan.
Also, we would like to have all of our students wear red, white and blue to school on Veterans Day.
Turkey Trot
We will be having a Turkey Trot during lunch recess on Monday, November 24th. All students are invited to participate, but do not have to if they would not like to. If your student would like to participate, please make sure that they wear clothes and shoes that they don't mind running in.
We will be setting up a track on the field. For every lap, students will get a ticket to put in our drawing. We will pull tickets for some fun prizes during our Gobble Contest assembly on the same afternoon.
Turkey Impersonation Contest
Let's hear your best turkey gobble ad see your best turkey wobble! Each class will be holding a Turkey Impersonation Contest. The winner from each class will compete to be the best turkey impersonator in their grade. The contest will be during an assembly on Monday the 24th. If your child is participating in the contest, we will let you know so that you can come if you would like.

Thanksgiving Break
Thanksgiving Break will be Wednesday, Nov. 26th - Friday, Nov. 28th this year. We wish you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Book Fair
Our Book Fair will be the week of November 17th - 21st. On November 17th, students will be able to preview the book fair with their class, and they will be able to shop before and after school Tuesday-Friday. Ewallets are a great way to "send" money with your student so that they can shop.
The video to the ewallets is: https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/content/fairs/ewallet.html
Also, if your child is bringing a bag of change, it is so helpful if you will help them count it beforehand. Thank you!
