Cascadia Tech News
October 2025
From Our Director
We are off to a great start and in full swing of learning here at Cascadia Technical Academy. Our students are already participating in internships, and community service events, and student-led businesses are starting to open for the year.
I’m looking forward to the months ahead to watch our students continue to learn technical and professionalism skills in their program areas. Our students can accomplish anything they put their minds to.
Please consider helping Cascadia Tech Academy Foundation with their biggest event of the year.
We are doing great things!

We NEED your help! Support Cascadia Tech Students!
Cascadia Technical Academy helps high school students across Southwest Washington build their future careers. Because the school doesn’t receive bond or levy funds, Cascadia Technical Academy Foundation (a 501(c)(3) nonprofit) raises money to provide essential equipment, scholarships, and emergency support for our students.
Our biggest fundraiser of the year—the ASPIRE Gala—will be held May 2, 2026, at ilani Casino Resort. We need your help securing exciting items for our Silent and Live Auctions!
Join us for a short virtual info session on Monday, November 17th at 12:00 PM or 5:30 PM to learn how you or your company can make a difference.

Welcome New Staff
I started in the construction industry in 1985 and in 1996 I accepted a Construction Technology instructor position at Cascadia Tech. After 28 years, I retired in 2025 and was recently hired back as the programs pro-tech. I am excited to continue to support the instructors in training the students for their future jobs in the construction industry.
I am a hairstylist and barber with 30 plus years of experience and have been a licensed instructor since 2008. I had the privilege to teach summer school and am excited to now be working with staff and students to help prepare them for a rewarding career in the beauty industry.
