PICTURE RETAKE DAY: THURSDAY

Retake Picture Day is happening next Thursday, Nov 5.

If you're satisfied with your child's picture, no further action is required.

If you purchased and were unhappy with your Picture Package, please email the school office to let us know. You'll then send your original Picture Package to school with your student on Retake Day. Your Retake Picture Package will be produced and shipped to the school four weeks after Retake Day. Please note, if your child is photographed on the original and Retake Picture Days, the Retake picture will replace the original picture in certain products, like the yearbook.

Students who were absent for Picture Day should come to school prepared to have their picture taken. If you have not preordered, please use the Retake Order Code 0736TTF to place your order at https://inter-state.com/Order.

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Get Glowing Fun Run this year! Through your generous donations and fundraising efforts, we were able to raise $17,800! All of this money will go directly back into funding programming, events, and field trips for our students- including the planetarium visit, Chewonki presentations, and our upcoming author visit. We are so thankful for your continued support of the PTA and Woolwich Central School.

In other fun and fundraiser news, by reaching (and exceeding) our fundraiser goal amount, Mr. Libby agreed to spend the night at school! CLICK HERE to see a video of all the adventures he and Scratch had during their sleepover!

CHEWONKI ANIMAL VISIT CHEWONKI ANIMAL VISIT

Tippy, the groundhot

Chewonki visited second grade this week for the "Mammals of Maine" presentation. We learned all about how animals in Maine have adaptations that help them survive in the wild. We were able to examine many artifacts, including bones, fur pelts and skulls. We also saw lots of preserved mammals. Then we get to meet Tippy, the groundhog. Tippy happily ate lots of fruits and vegetables as we learned all about her! Thanks to the PTA for this amazing experience that tied in with our animal biodiversity unit.

MIDDLE SCHOOL COFFEE SALES MIDDLE SCHOOL COFFEE SALES

Wicked Joe Organic Coffee

Once again, WCS is partnering with Wicked Joe Organic Coffees to raise funds for Washington, D.C. While the delicious coffee remains the same, we are switching things up by including all of middle school in the sales.

Starting today, students in grades 6-8 are selling 12 oz. bags of coffee to raise funds for their class trips to Washington, D.C. This means that students in grades 6 & 7 will have an opportunity to raise and save money before their 8th grade year!

Students will earn $5 from each bag they sell, and that money will be attributed to that individual student, and held in an account to help pay their share of their 8th grade trip to Washington, D.C.

This coffee makes a fantastic gift for the holidays and will be on sale until Thursday, 11/19/26.
