📣 Principal's Message 📣
Hello, Warrior families!
I hope you have had a safe, relaxing, and exciting summer. It's hard to believe that the start of the school year is quickly approaching.
Please be on the lookout for monthly messages, delivered on the 1st school day of each month, with important dates and information.
This year we will also take time each month to spotlight our PBIS program and the importance of attendance.
👍👊 PBIS SPOTLIGHT 👍👊
A new year is always a great opportunity for a fresh start. At the beginning of the year we always take time to remind students of our PBIS expectations;
- Be Respectful
- Be Responsible
- Be Ready
Each month we will celebrate students with exciting events. To qualify each month students must meet the following criteria:
- No more than 3 total infractions
- No more than 1 referral
- No ISS or OSS (In-School Suspension/ Out of School Suspension)
ALL STUDENTS will be eligible for our first PBIS event on Friday, August 29.
Our second PBIS event will be Color Wars Rumble on Wed., September 24.
📢📢ATTENDANCE SPOTLIGHT 📢📢
In thinking about our Be Ready expectation, I want to take a moment to challenge every student to having exemplary attendance this year. We believe that everyday matters, and significant research exists that shows how student achievement, and well-being, decreases when students miss 10% or more of a single school year.
Families - you can help support student attendance by establishing routines at home including; designated sleeping and wake-up times, having electronics charge overnight outside of the students' bedrooms, packing lunch the night before, etc.
This year we will be emphasizing the importance of attendance including:
- Routinely recognizing and rewarding students that have excellent attendance
- Random reward days where every student in attendance has the opportunity to participate
- I will continue to share about the importance of attendance each month
