Low Ash Primary
Weekly round up
19.12.25
As we come to the end of this term, we reflect on all the wonderful learning, growth, and achievements our pupils have experienced. It has truly been a busy and rewarding time for everyone at Low Ash Primary School.
We would like to thank Mrs Spedding for all the work she has done supporting children and their families as Assistant Headteacher and Inclusion Leader over the past 18 months and wish her every success in her new role as Assistant Principal in a Leeds school.
Finally we would like to take this opportunity to wish all our parents, carers, and pupils a very happy and restful Christmas. May the holiday season bring you joy, peace, and quality time with your loved ones. We look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for an exciting new term in the New Year!

Christmas presents donations
Thank you to the parents/carers and organisations who have generously donated Christmas presents to school. We have distributed these to some of our families at Low Ash.
Lucky winners!
School was kindly donated a bike (from Mrs Robinson) and a scooter from one of the charities that works with school. Well done to the lucky winners!
Carols by Candlelight
Last night, our Key Stage 2 pupils came together to deliver our annual Carol Service, filling the church with their beautiful voices. The children performed a wonderful selection of traditional and contemporary carols, showcasing their musical talents and enthusiasm. It was a joy to see pupils, staff, and families together, creating a memorable evening that highlighted the strong sense of community at Low Ash Primary School. We thank all those who attended and supported this special event, helping to make it such a success.
Elf Run
The postponed elf run took place on Tuesday this week - a fun and energetic event aimed at raising funds for the Simon on the Streets charity. Pupils and staff, donned their best Christmas costumes and elf hats and ran with enthusiasm to support this important cause, helping to provide vital assistance to those experiencing homelessness. We are proud of everyone’s participation and generosity.
Early Years parent and child craft session
Our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Christmas craft session was a brilliant occasion, bringing together parents and children to share in the festive spirit through creative activities. Families worked together to make beautiful Christmas decorations and crafts. It was wonderful to see the children’s enthusiasm and creativity flourish alongside their parents. Thank you to all the families who joined us and made the event so special.
Nursery lights night
Some Nursery children had a wonderful time when they returned to school in one evening this week, seeing the twinkling lights in the classroom. They looked at everybody's Christmas pyjamas and then the children listened to Christmas stories and had a snack of hot chocolate and cookies.
Year 6 Visit to Nightstop
Some members of class 6W visited Bradford Nightstop this week. Last year the class raised almost £300 and prepared care packages and duvets which were handed over to the charity. We have been told that what was donated 'will be incredibly valuable in supporting the young people as they settle into their accommodation. We will also be able to pass a couple of boxes on to the volunteers’ homes where young people stay overnight.'
Rocksteady Concert
A fantastic Rocksteady Concert took place this week . Well done to each group:
Prime Fortnite Lava Wolves
The Rockin’ Girlz
The Rock n Roll Thunder Bunnies
The Roblocs Minecraft Instrument Creepers
They really rocked!
Free Christmas Events for Families
A reminder of the free Christmas event taking place on Tuesday 23rd December which we thought many of the Low Ash pupils would love. It is a fun-filled day for children and families at Valley Parade! There's an amazing lineup of activities to make this Christmas extra special:

Sporting update
We had another fantastic Padel tournament at Strike Padel this week!
Low Ash Primary took 4 teams to compete in a mini Padel tournament against Blakehill & Rainbow primary. Everybody had a great time and the games were played in great spirit.
A massive thank you to Mr Summers and Strike Padel for having us!
Well done to the boys' under 11s football team.
They took part in the Bradford Football Finals yesterday at Goals. The standard of football was extremely high - our boys played some great football and did the school proud.
We finished 5th overall out of around 40 schools across Bradford, which is a fantastic achievement.
Everybody involved should be proud of themselves.
