Ronald McDonald Care Mobile

The Ronald McDonald Medical Van visited our school today providing free school physicals and vaccines for students in need.

Club Spotlight - Mosaic Mural

Students in Mosaic Mural Club were excited to start working on our building kindness mural this week!

This will be a multi-year project, ending in a beautiful tile mosaic mural to decorate the hall. The boards were delivered, and while some students worked on transferring the design, others were able to start smashing tiles for the piece.

If any students are interested in joining Mosaic Mural Club, please contact Ms. Shanahan or Ms. Kanter. We meet on the first and third Wednesday of every month!

Author Visit - Lizzie Waterworth

On Wednesday, September 20th, 50 Chippewa students were able to use PBIS rewards points to attend an author visit/writers workshop with renowned voice actress and author Lizzie Waterworth.

Students listened to Lizzie talk about her voice acting career and the process of writing her new book How to Talk so People Will Listen! (And Sound Confident, Even When You're Not!), and were able to work in groups to pitch their own idea for a cartoon/video game.

D62 Strategic Plan

We want to hear from you!

The Community Consolidated School District 62 Board of Education will begin the process of developing a new multi-year strategic plan with support from students, staff, parents and stakeholders. The current process is designed to empower stakeholders to collaborate and create a shared vision and goals for the future of the district and strategies to achieve them.

The Board of Education is seeking suggestions for issues to be included in the development of our new strategic plan. This will be the defining initiative to shape our school district for the next three to five years and beyond.

The survey remains open through September 21. To access the survey, please visit here.
