Round Up
It's time to start thinking about school for the 2025-2026 school year. If you will have a student in kindergarten or young 5s next school year, use the link below to fill out the pre-enrollment form. Doing this will get the enrollment process started for you and it will get your student signed up for Round Up. The specific dates for determining if your student should be in kindergarten or young 5s are below.
If you have a student who is currently in our young 5s class, you do not need to fill out this online form or any enrollment paperwork. Your student will automatically be enrolled into kindergarten at one of our elementary buildings. The determination of which elementary your student will be at is based on where you live and a note will be sent home letting you know which building your student will be attending next year.
Kindergarten - must turn 5 on or before September 1st of this year
Young 5s - must turn 5 between September 1st and December 1st of this year

Central's Kindergarten and Young5s Round Up will be on Wednesday, May 21st from 5:00-6:00 PM.
School Garden
There is an area out front by the sidewalk and basketball hoops that once was a garden and now just has rocks in it. Sadly most plants have not survived in there. This is probably due to lack of care and people walking through it. If anyone has a green thumb and some time, call the office and maybe we can work on beautifying that area and our school.
Healthy School Lunch Ideas
Eating healthy is one important way to have a healthy mind and body. These are a few suggestions from an article from the Cleveland Clinic. If you wish to read the full article you can find it here:
https://health.clevelandclinic.org/healthy-childrens-lunch-ideas.
Try these five tips to encourage your child to finish all the healthy food in their lunchbox.
- Set an example. Children tend to mirror their parents in a variety of habits, which is why fruit and veggies need to find your plate, too. “Make healthy eating a normal part of the family diet,” encourages Hyland.
- Involve your children. Kids who choose their lunch food are more apt to eat it. “Let them pick their favorites,” suggests Hyland. “The more involved they are with the process, the better.”
- Mix it up. Eating the same old lunch day after day after day can get boring. Create a list of preferred foods and then rotate the options. You can even turn food selection into a game to make packing lunch more fun!
- Make it easy. Is your kid more likely to munch on apple slices than bite into a whole apple? If so, cut that fruit up for easy and faster eating when they’re in the cafeteria.
- Watch what comes home. If the raw broccoli you send in your kid’s lunch every day never gets eaten, consider it a sign and adjust.
