Wyneken Weekly Parent Note
Week of November 8, 2026
Brief Note from Mrs. Nidlinger
Thank you to everyone who joined us for parent-teacher conferences these past two days! We had wonderful conversations, and we are so grateful for the incredible parent support we have here at Wyneken. An amazing 94% of our families met with their child’s teacher. When we sit down together, we find great ways to help our kiddos succeed in the classroom and beyond.
We wrap up ILEARN Checkpoint 1 this Friday, and ILEARN parent information will be coming home next week. This data is valuable for us as a school, and it’s also easy for parents to understand, so please take some time to look it over. Next week is a busy one, with our Veterans Day Program on Tuesday, Donuts with Grown-Ups on Friday, and some of our kiddos getting out and about in the community for Kindness Day.
We’re so proud of what’s happening inside our walls, and now it’s time to make the outside look just as good! Please join us tomorrow, Saturday, at 8:00 AM for our Landscape Installation Day. Families, friends, and church members are all welcome. Bring your shovels and help us beautify our grounds!
.
Heads up: ILEARN Checkpoint 1 Wraps Up Friday, Nov 6!
ILEARN Family Portal information will be sent out early next week once our first round of checkpoints is complete.
Make-Up Day - Virtual Makeup Day on Wednesday November 25th
Volunteers Needed: Landscaping Day, Saturday, Nov 7 at 8:00 AM. We’re putting in new landscaping at Wyneken and we need your help. More hands means the job gets done faster and costs less. Bring gloves and a shovel if you have them. Even an hour helps! Let the office know you’re coming so we have a headcount.
Veterans Day Program: Tuesday, Nov 10 at 1:00 PM. Families are invited to join us as our students honor those who have served. Do you have a veteran in your family? We want to recognize them. Send their name and branch of service to your child’s teacher by Friday, Nov 6.
Easter egg hunt! The 🕵🏼♀️ is hiding somewhere new this week (this one doesn't count!) . Email us or stop by the office when you find it for a small treat.
The Warrior Way: Respect God · Respect Others · Respect Learning
⛪Chapel Offerings⛪🕵🏻♀️
Our second quarter chapel offerings being collected to sponsor our Christmas families through the Lutheran Social Services. We are given this opportunity each year to share our blessings with those who are less fortunate. The chapel offerings will be used to purchase gift cards for gifts and food.
Music Notes from Mrs. Ulmer

Winter Sports Updates
Winter sports seasons are underway. A reminder that starting this winter season, volunteer slots will be assigned to participating student athletes' families instead of using SignUp Genius. If you are assigned for a night, you are expected to be present or to coordinate with other families to find your own replacement.
Practice schedules and tentative game schedules are listed in EventLink.
