SCHOOL BUS TRACKING APP
BusRight
Dear Families,
As we continue using BusRight for our Woburn Public Schools bus transportation system, we want to remind all parents and guardians of bus riders about the features available through the BusRight Parent App.
The app gives you real-time visibility into your child’s daily commute, allowing you to:
Track Bus Progress: Follow your child’s bus route in real-time to and from school.
Receive Timely Updates: Get instant notifications when the bus begins and completes its route.
View Arrival Times: Check estimated arrival times at your child’s designated bus stop.
Once launched, if you log in to the system and observe the bus appears to be offline it does not mean the bus route is not in operation - it is most likely the result of one of the following reasons:
- The bus route has completed its run and is back at the bus lot and not turned on.
- The driver is using a spare vehicle that is not equipped with BusRight's GPS tracking system.
- The GPS Tracking system on the vehicle is not online due to technical issues.
- If the route does not show as an option on your route list, you may not be assigned to the stop in the BusRight system - you can contact Kerri Carpenter at kcarpenter@woburnps.com.
Thank you.

SCHOOL YEAR BUS ROUTES NOW AVAILABLE
Dear Woburn Public Schools Families,
Bus routes for the upcoming school year are now available on the district website. While you are welcome to review the routes, please note that students have not yet been rolled over into their new grade levels in our transportation system. As a result, we are not yet able to assign incoming kindergarten students, 6th grade students, 9th grade students, or any newly enrolled students to their bus routes. These assignments will be completed as soon as the student rollover process is finalized.
To assist us in planning bus routes for the upcoming school year, please complete the Transportation Registration Form only if one of the following applies to your child:
- Your child is new to Woburn Public Schools and plans to ride the bus.
- Your child will be attending a different school for the 2026-2027 school year.
- Your child is a rising 6th grader (moving from elementary school to middle school).
- Your child is a rising 9th grader (moving from middle school to high school).
You do NOT need to complete the form if:
- Your child rode the bus during the 2025-2026 school year;
- Your child will remain at the same school for the 2026-2027 school year; and
- There are no changes to your transportation needs.
You can find our bus routes plus additional information on the website under the transportation Icon or by clicking on the Bus Information Icon in this newsletter.
Bus Stop Requests
If you do not see an existing bus stop within one-half mile (0.5 miles) of your home address, please complete the Bus Stop Request Form for review.
Thank you for your cooperation as we prepare transportation services for the new school year.
