YSSD September 2025 Newsletter
Message from the Superintendent
Each month during the school year, you’ll receive our Family and Staff Newsletter. This electronic newsletter is a resource for important dates, upcoming events, and recognition of students and staff. I encourage you to stay connected with happenings across the York Suburban School District by taking just a few minutes to read each issue.
One special event highlighted in this month's issue is Homecoming weekend. From the parade to the bonfire to the football game, Homecoming unites students, families, staff, and alumni in celebration of our Trojan pride. It also serves as a powerful reminder of the strong community that defines York Suburban and the vital role family and community involvement play in the success of our students.
Thank you in advance for your ongoing partnership and support. I hope to see you at Homecoming and throughout the school year as we work together to inspire a BOLD future for our students.
Sincerely,
Scott Krauser, Ed.D., Superintendent of Schools

Volunteer Opportunity
We need your help!
On October 14, Junior Achievement of South Central PA will be at York Suburban High School with their STEM Summit Program. All sophomores will be participating in the day-long event designed to explore careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
For this day to be a success, we need volunteers. Each volunteer will facilitate one of the STEM activities for the day with students rotating through your station. You do not need to have a STEM background to volunteer, just a willingness to empower our students. To sign up to volunteer, please contact Shannon Baker, Junior Achievement's Senior Vice President Program Operations, at sbaker@jascpa.org. Thank you in advance for your help!
