Pursuing the Joy of Salvation, Knowledge, Leadership, and Community
After 37 years in service teaching at KAES, Mrs. Just will be retiring.
We are both grateful and saddened to announce that Mrs. Just will be retiring at the end of this school year. She has faithfully served at KAES during two different periods, spending the majority of her time teaching Kindergarten. Throughout her years of dedication, she has impacted multiple generations of families with her calm, caring, and kind approach to teaching.
Please check your email for an opportunity to share your appreciation and well wishes for Mrs. Just as she concludes this meaningful chapter of her career.
We would like to welcome Mrs. Nidia Loewen as our new Kindergarten teacher.
We are pleased to welcome Mrs. Nidia Loewen to KAES as our Kindergarten teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. She joins us from Dallas, where she has experience teaching both first and second grades. Mrs. Loewen has a strong passion for sharing Jesus with her students and helping children develop a love of reading.
We are excited to have her join our KAES family and look forward to the positive impact she will make in our kindergarten classroom.

Thank you Mrs. Reyna!
We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Mrs. Reyna for her faithful service in teaching 4th grade during Mrs. Nu’s maternity leave. Her dedication, flexibility, and care for the students provided a sense of stability and continuity in the classroom. 8th grade needs your help gathering travel-sized hygiene products
In one week, our 8th-grade class will lead our Week of Worship. This year, they will be sharing about the Tabernacle Sanctuary and its meaning in our daily lives. As part of this special week, they invite all KAES families to participate in a meaningful service project.
Students will be assembling blessing bags for individuals experiencing homelessness, and we are asking for your support by donating travel-sized items. These donations will be used to create care packages that will bless those in need in our community.
A list of requested items is provided below by grade level. Thank you for partnering with us to make this a meaningful and impactful experience for both our students and those we serve.
Items may be turned in to your child’s classroom or the school office.

Kindergarten trip to Fort Worth Zoo.
Fifth grade science trip to Galveston Island.
The fifth grade enjoyed exploring God’s creation on their science trip to the coast. They spent time learning about and observing alligators and birds in the wetlands at Brazos Bend State Park, as well as visiting an aquarium, fish hatchery, and butterfly center. They also made time to visit the beach, take a harbor boat tour, and have fun together while making lasting memories.
Sith grade outdoor school
The sixth grade spent this week at the Texas Conference Outdoor School. Students had a great time learning archery, fishing, zip-lining, birding, nature photography, rocketry, and much more. They were divided into teams made up of students from multiple schools and learned to work together to accomplish new challenges each day.
7th grade History trip.
The seventh-grade class embarked on a two-day field trip to learn more about the past. On the first day, students stepped back in time at Washington on the Brazos, where they learned about the Texas Declaration of Independence and got a firsthand look at what plantation life was like during the days of the Texas Republic. They even participated in militia training and signed a copy of the Declaration of Independence, giving them a glimpse of what it truly meant to live during that remarkable time in Texas history. The following day, they turned their attention to the stars at NASA, where they discovered the incredible history of space exploration and what it takes to push the boundaries of human achievement.
