WCES will have two parent seats and one staff seat available on our School Governance Council for next school year. Serving on the SGC is a two‑year commitment, and members typically spend about 1-2 hours per month supporting school initiatives through meetings, trainings, and events. The SGC plays an important role in shaping our school’s strategic direction and supporting decisions that impact our students, staff, and community. Parents interested in declaring candidacy may visit the SGC Elections website between February 2 and March 27 to submit their declaration. For questions, please email: schoolgovernance@fultonschools.org
Student Author- Ezrah Jivani
We are incredibly proud of our very own Wilson Creek author, Ezrah Jivani! Ezrah has written and published her very first book, The Timeless Samurai, and we could not be more excited to celebrate her accomplishment. Beginning next week, students can check out a copy of The Timeless Samurai right here in the Wilson Creek Media Center. If you’d like to order your own copy, it is available on Amazon.
WCES Carpool Traffic Flow AM
As part of our ongoing efforts to improve the safety and efficiency of our morning arrival procedures, we are actively working to secure a police officer to assist with traffic flow during morning drop-off. We will share updates as soon as this support is in place.
Traffic Reminder:
After 7:10 AM, drivers will not be permitted to take a left turn into the school when traveling from Medlock Bridge Road. In addition, U-turns are not allowed at any time during morning arrival. These restrictions are in place to ensure a smooth traffic pattern and to maintain safety for all students and families.
We kindly ask all families to:
- Be respectful of the established traffic flow
- Stay patient and courteous with other drivers
- Follow staff directions during morning arrival
To help reduce congestion and improve the overall process, we strongly encourage families to consider using bus transportation whenever possible. Bus ridership significantly decreases delays and helps keep our campus safer for everyone. Thank you for your cooperation and continued support in making morning arrival safe and efficient for all.

Attendance Matters ALL DAY, EVERYDAY
TAKE ATTENDANCE SERIOUSLY
It’s common for students to experience a significant increase in chronic absenteeism during the winter months due to an increase in typical illnesses. If your child must be absent due to illness, please email WCESResidency@fultonschools.org, your child’s (1) legal first and last name, (2) teacher’s name, (3) all the dates your child was absent, and the (4) reason for missing school. Please also copy your child's homeroom teacher on the email. It is important to include a photo or scanned image of the doctor’s note, if you take your child to be seen. If your child is missing a lot of school due to illness, please reach out to our clinic assistant, Ms. Ankita Doshi, for guidance. Chronic absenteeism occurs when students miss 10% or more of school for any reason.
Additionally, it's important that kids arrive to school on time every day. Please remember that our car rider line can back up closer to 7:30. Consider being in line closer to 7:10 or by having your child ride the school bus to prevent tardies.
Help Your Child Succeed in School: Build the Habit of Good Attendance! School success goes hand in hand with good attendance!
Northview Techno Titans STEM NIGHT
