Principal Weekly Update to Families

Dear Jayhawk Elementary Families,

We have several exciting and important activities coming up at Jayhawk Elementary!

Next week, we are excited to celebrate Read Across America Week! Our school will enjoy a full week of fun activities centered around the wonderful books of Dr. Seuss. This is always a special time to promote the joy of reading and encourage our students to grow as lifelong readers. We look forward to seeing our students participate in the themed days and celebrate literacy together. See image below for daily scheduled activities.

Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Tuesday, March 10th and Thursday, March 12th from 4:00–8:00 PM. Students brought home conference time documentation earlier this week. If your scheduled time does not work for your family, please notify your child’s classroom teacher as soon as possible so adjustments can be made.

• Friday, March 6th - End of 3rd Qtr.

• Sunday, March 8th - Daylight Savings Time Begins

• Tuesday, March 10th - Parent Teacher Conferences 4 - 8 PM

• Thursday, March 12th - Parent Teacher Conferences 4 - 8 PM

• Friday, March 13th - No School Begin Spring Break

• Monday, March 23rd - Students Return
