🎓 Celebrating Success: The Endeavor “Clap-Out” Tradition
A Moment of Pride
At Endeavor High School, every milestone matters. Because our students graduate throughout the school year, we don’t wait until May to recognize their achievements. Whenever a student completes their graduation requirements, we honor them immediately with an EHS Clap-Out.
At Endeavor High School, we believe every milestone deserves to be celebrated. Because our students graduate throughout the school year, we don’t wait until May to recognize their achievements. Whenever a student completes their graduation requirements, we honor them immediately with our long-standing “Clap-Out” tradition.
During a Clap-Out, staff and students line the halls to cheer, applaud, and celebrate the graduate as they take a walk through the school in recognition of their hard work. This moment not only honors the graduate’s success but also inspires their classmates to stay motivated and work toward their own goals.
While all graduates and their families are invited to participate in the official graduation ceremony held each May, where students experience the joy of walking across the stage in cap and gown with loved ones and friends cheering them on, the Clap-Out gives us the chance to recognize and encourage them right when they achieve this important milestone.
This beloved tradition truly sets Endeavor apart. It reflects our campus culture of support, pride, and encouragement—celebrating our students today while inspiring tomorrow’s graduates.

Character Counts: SEPTEMBER
Open House
On Thursday, September 25 from 5:00pm-7:00pm, we will open our doors and invite all stakeholders to our campus open house. Parents can visit all the classrooms and walk around the campus. Former students can stop in to say Hello. It will be a come-and-go event. There will not be an opportunity to discuss specific student situations, so if that discussion needs to occur, you can use this time to schedule an appointment on a future day.
We look forward to sharing our building and visiting with those who wish to stop by.
Rhonda Perez Day (September 19)
In 2023, Mrs. Perez was selected as the Region IV Secondary Teacher of the Year. This was an incredible honor for her and for our school district and community. To honor this impressive achievement, Adrian Garcia, Harris County Precinct 2 Commissioner named September 19 the annual Rhonda Perez Day. For the past two years on this day, Mrs. Perez brings cupcakes for all of the students, faculty, and staff to thank them for being the reason she was able to be honored with such a designation. They are the reason behind why she is an exceptional educator.
Congratulations Mrs. Perez! Happy Rhonda Perez Day.

New Scholarship Resources for High School Students
Access Scholarships is a free scholarship and college resource platform for student. Their goal is to connect high school students with scholarship opportunities and other financial aid resources to to help them navigate the (often complicated) world of higher education.
In addition to the scholarship search and directory (with over 10,000 scholarships in their database-they add to everyday), they have several resources specifically geared towards high school students.
All of the links below are great resources and opportunities for you!
ACT/SAT Info
What is the ACT/SAT test?
Both the SAT and the ACT are nationally administered, standardized tests that help schools evaluate your application and see how prepared you are for college courses. The SAT and ACT generally cover the same topics. Both ACT and SAT scores are used for college admissions decisions and awarding merit-based scholarships. Most colleges do not prefer one test over the other. Neither the SAT nor ACT is harder than the other. Different students tend to do better on one test than the other.
Ask Mrs. Jackson or Mrs. Salinas for more information.

Students Driving to School - The Risk of Driving Without a License
The following is needed for a student to drive to Endeavor:
- A valid Texas driver's license
- Proof of liability on your vehicle
- A parking permit issued from Endeavor
Students who drive to school without a valid license may face citations from the campus Constable and will be prohibited from leaving campus with their vehicles. For those needing a permit, please see Mrs. Barrientos in the front office. Additionally, we have received reports of students parking on nearby streets, which may lead homeowners to contact their HOA, potentially resulting in patrols by the Sheriff's Department. It is important to remember that driving without a valid license can result in a citation, and management at Dollar General has the authority to have improperly parked vehicles towed at the owner's expense.
For Endeavor students, transportation options are available through the district; please contact the front office for further details.
