Hello PCK Community,

Spotlight
Last week, we were excited to kick off this year’s Fund Run with special assemblies where we introduced the exciting prize tiers tied to donation levels.
We’re now encouraging all families to get involved by registering through our official Booster link, which can be found below. It only takes a few minutes, and your participation, through sharing or donating, makes a meaningful impact.
Every dollar raised goes directly back into supporting our school. In past years, funds from the Fund Run have helped finance key capital improvement projects and have provided teacher grants to enhance classroom learning environments. These contributions make a real difference in the daily experience of our students and teachers alike.
We hope you’ll consider participating in this year’s Fund Run. Whether by making a donation, sharing the link with friends and family, or cheering on our students. Together, we can continue to build a stronger school community and provide the resources PCK students deserve.
Sibling Status
Although the school year has only just begun, PCK is already looking ahead to the 2026–2027 school year. As part of our planning, we’re now releasing our Sibling Status Form.
This form is intended for families with children currently enrolled at PCK who also have siblings on our waitlist. By completing it, you’ll help ensure that siblings of current students are given priority and moved to the top of our growing waitlist.
We kindly ask eligible families to re-submit their sibling information using this form so we can keep our records accurate and make the process as smooth as possible. It’s quick and easy and takes just a couple of minutes to complete.
We’re excited at the prospect of welcoming more of your family into the PCK community!
Coffee With the Director
Don’t forget, our Coffee with the Director event is coming up next week.
Join Dr. Weyman on the morning of September 18 for an open and collaborative conversation with members of our school community. This is a great opportunity to connect, ask questions, and help foster transparency within our school.
If you’d like to attend, please RSVP using the button below. If you've already completed our RSVP, please note you do not need to complete it again.
Athletics
Get ready to hit the field and court because our fall sports camps are returning for the 2025-2026 school year! We're excited to offer camps for boys soccer, girls volleyball, spirit team, and co-ed cross country. These camps are open exclusively to students in grades K-5. Sign-ups will open next week. Keep an eye out for the registration link to secure a spot for your student.
Camps are led by current PCK players, giving students a firsthand look at what it's like to be part of the team. Campers will participate in fun drills and games designed to help them develop new skills. As a memento of their experience, each camper will receive a camp t-shirt that can be worn on PCK Spirit Days.

Carpool Reminders
As our carpool routine becomes more established, we want to provide a friendly reminder of our rules and expectations for drop-off and pick-up. Following these guidelines ensures the safety of our students and the smooth flow of traffic.
All students must be picked up by the end of our carpool at 3:40 p.m. If a student has not been picked up by this time, they will be sent to Champions Aftercare. Parents will then need to go to the eastern entrance by the science lab and contact Champions to retrieve their student. Please be aware that Champions will charge a fee for their services.
In our north loop, some parents have been seen parking their cars in the moving carpool line to get their children. Please remain in your vehicle at all times during the carpool procedure. The only exception is during an indoor release, where you will need to approach a school entrance on foot to pick up your student.
For families using the north loop, please drive all the way to the designated drop-off location before allowing your student to exit the vehicle. This ensures they arrive at the school safely and under the supervision of our staff.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and efficient carpool for everyone.
Homework Club
Homework Club is back for the 2025-26 school year. Please note that this club is exclusively for students in grades 3-6.
At this club students will have the opportunity to work on their homework while a teacher is there to guide them through. Homework Club will meet from 3:20-4:15 p.m. in Room 115, next to the Art Room.

This year, we're eager to explore:
Volunteerism at PCK and how to strengthen parent involvement.
The development of a Parent University to provide our parents with a meaningful avenue to be as educated and connected with the happenings of our beloved school.
Ways to ensure every parent feels empowered to share their voice in a positive, comfortable, and constructive environment.
As always, all parents are invited to attend SAC meetings, your input matters!
Our next meeting will be Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at 8:15 a.m. in the Middle School Commons with a virtual option. The link will be posted in the newsletter the week prior.
Volunteer Spotlight
This week, we'd like to highlight the Rhein family for their generous donation of fossils to our science department. This valuable contribution will provide our students with an incredible opportunity for hands-on learning.
Each year, our 3rd and 6th grade students study fossil formations. The Rhein family's donation will be a crucial resource for these lessons, allowing our educators to bring their curriculum to life and providing students with a direct way to engage with the material.
We are so grateful to the Rhein family for their support and for helping to enrich our classroom environment. Their thoughtful contribution is deeply appreciated and will be a great asset to our science program for years to come.
