Weekly Newsletter
October 12th - 16th
Message from the Principal
Dear Nativity Families,
October is one of our favorite months at Nativity as we honor our Blessed Mother and teach our students the beauty and importance of praying the Rosary. It is a wonderful time to grow in faith, enjoy the changing season, and look forward to the many activities and traditions that bring our community together. And, of course, the cooler temperatures and a little pumpkin spice are also a bonus!
Please mark your calendars for the last week of October, when we will celebrate Wellness Week. Throughout the week, we will focus on wellness in all its forms, reminding our students of the importance of nurturing their minds, bodies, and souls. Along with special dress days, our activities will include praying the Rosary as a school, a pumpkin carving contest, our fourth graders’ Living Saints Museum, and our Math and Science Fair. More detailed information will be shared next week.
I would also like to invite your feedback regarding our 2026 Christmas Program. Traditionally, our program has taken place on a Thursday evening at 6:00pm. This year, we are considering moving the performance to Thursday, December 17, at 1:00pm. in the hope of making participation easier for our students, families, and teachers. We value your input as we consider this change, so please take a moment to respond to the poll included in this newsletter.
Finally, I hope you enjoy a wonderful, extended weekend with your families as we observe Columbus Day and Indigenous Peoples’ Day on Monday. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Tuesday and seeing many of you at our school assembly, hosted by our seventh graders.
May God bless you and your families with a peaceful and restful weekend.
Warmly,
Brittany Bateman

The Nativity School PARENT PORTAL
Within our Parent Portal, you will find the school calendar, links to FACTS, Land's End, and Ki's for ordering lunch, information about enrichment classes, volunteer requirements, dress code and so much more.
You will also find a "Classroom Connect" section which houses information available for each grade level. You will find a welcome letter from your teacher, a class schedule (coming in August), supplies information, summer assignments if any and more.
To access the Parent Portal, go to the school website at TheNativitySchool.org, click on COMMUNITY and select Parent Portal. The password is Stars#1. For privacy reasons, please do not share this password with anyone outside the school community. Once you are in the portal, you can access information by clicking on the link in the various boxes. If a link doesn't work, it is because new data is still forthcoming and will be updated when available.
We invite you to look around in the Parent Portal. Please let Heidi or Traci in the school office know if you run into any issues.
