My Life Plan
Upcoming MLP dates to be aware of:
11th - Junior Launch - Tuesday June 2
Students will join counselors in the media center, during social studies classes, to start preparations for senior year. Students will preview senior year timelines (for college and scholarship processes), be informed of postsecondary planning steps, and learn about some resources students can access over the summer to start (or keep moving towards) their postsecondary plans.
We are wrapping up My Life Plans for the year!
~ 4 Lessons per year, per grade level (over 12 classroom or large group lessons!!)
~ 4 Counseling hosted night events and during-the-day fairs
~ To date, 85% of graduates have a verifiable, and active post-secondary plan in the works (with more to add to this number as students continue their final meetings with CCC and Counseling staff!)
~ Well done South students!
*** These lessons are an important part of our student's journey towards post-secondary success... and a graduation requirement. If your student is missing any lessons from the year, please encourage them to log into Xello (via clever) and have them complete missing lessons.
Senior Information
There is lots coming up for Seniors... fun events, important tasks, lots of little details to be working through to get to that Stage!! See the dates below and don't forget to be checking the South Senior Site for all the information you need! South Senior Site
A few reminders:
~ Please note that FINAL Transcripts will be sent to your post-secondary intuition as soon as final grades are posted to transcripts. Colleges will be persistent and asking you over these over the next few weeks... Please know that we WILL send transcripts and there is no need to reach out to your counselor to make a request.
~ If your college plans change and you need a transcript sent to a new school, counselors will not be available to send them until we return in the 1st week of August
Also
~ If you complete summer school credits that complete your graduation requirements, you will be able to pick up your diploma during that first week of August or after

Should your rising senior want to get a head start on that over the summer, here is a summer checklist that students can work from. Link to checklist.
