A Farewell to 4th Graders... A Farewell to 4th Graders...

A Final Roar Goodbye

Today, we said a heartfelt farewell to our fourth-grade class. Each one of these students brought something unique and special to our school community, and they will be deeply missed. The ceremony began with a welcome from Mrs. Hill, followed by carefully crafted letters and poems from the third graders. They took time over the past few weeks to reflect on what they will miss most about their friends.

The fourth graders treated us to a special recorder performance, and each student received a farewell certificate along with a memory shared by their teacher, Ms. Parisi. After the ceremony, the PTO provided delicious refreshments for all to enjoy.

We wish our outgoing class the very best as they head off to middle school. We know they will continue to shine and do amazing things!

Thank You for Celebrating Outdoor Learning with Us!

Thank you to everyone who came out to support our Celebration of Learning! Students proudly shared highlights from their favorite outdoor experiences this year. Activities included scientific drawings of mounts (thanks to the Harris Center for providing them), a slideshow of our outdoor adventures, and the dissection of a rotting log—where we even discovered a few curious beetles and spiders! Families enjoyed a story walk filled with riddles about the water cycle, visited special nature spots, built forts, and gathered around the campfire to roast marshmallows.

We are so grateful for the community partnerships that helped make this event special. Morphs and Milestones created a special video about their visit to our school, the Francestown Land Trust shared exciting upcoming programs, the Francestown Library provided flyers for their summer reading program, and Kelly Marshall, our resident master gardener, taught us about our pollinator garden.

It’s been an amazing year of outdoor learning, and we thank you again for your continued support!

Thank you Francestown

I would like to thank the Town of Francestown, our families, and students for their warmth and support over the past two years. It has been an honor to work at Francestown Elementary School—a truly special place where students explore, create, and connect every day. From imaginative games and fort-building to soccer matches and budding entrepreneurship, our students embody curiosity and community spirit. Thank you once again for welcoming me into this incredible community.

Please stay tuned. A newsletter introducing the teacher joining our community will follow shortly. Class placements will be announced in August.

Ending the Year with Kindness and Fun

Kindergarten had a wonderful last week together as we continued our cupful of fun countdown. We enjoyed a full day at the Montshire in Vermont, yummy cake as we celebrated another summer birthday, our last OLL adventure, and a surprise bubble day. It has been a pleasure to close out the school year with the Kindergarteners, and I wish everyone a safe and happy summer!

Walking the Red Carpet into Summer!

I cannot believe it is the end of the year! It has been such a fun year! To end our year, we had a week full of fun. We started our week at the Montshire Museum where everyone had a blast. Once back at school, we had a beach day where we got to make our own towels. Next, we had a Disney day where we got to “ride” all of the rides and see the shows. On Thursday, we had a carnival day full of all the games and snacks! Lastly, we ended our week with a Hollywood Day. We walked the right carpet right into summer! Have a great summer!
