Banned Books Week: Let Books Be. Protect the Freedom to Read.

Banned or challenged books are books that other people think you should NOT read but WE definitely think you should check out!

Exercise your right to intellectual freedom by reading a challenged or censored book during this year's official Banned Books Week, October 4-10.

Borrow a book from our banned books on display in the media center or you can check out a digital copy of a banned book HERE.

How to Navigate Your Media Library Center How to Navigate Your Media Library Center

(aka Freshmen Take Over the Library!) (aka Freshmen Take Over the Library!)

This month, our 9th graders will visit the CHS Library Media Center for their orientation! They will explore our physical and digital spaces, learn key library policies, and compete in an interactive scavenger hunt for prizes.

Media Center Policy and Resource Highlights

  • Hours: Open daily from 7:15 AM – 3:00 PM. Drop in before/after school or during lunch (no pass needed!). Pass required during class periods.

  • Books & More: Check out up to 5 books for 4 weeks at a time, or access free ebooks and audiobooks on the Sora Reading App. Don't see what you want? Submit a Book Request Form.

  • Tech & Printing: Free printing for school assignments, plus full Chromebook troubleshooting and support.

  • Get Involved: Join the Library Advisory Board (LAB) or The Reading Network club during lunch to help shape our library and earn service hours!

A Final Note to Our Students:

Remember, the library is here for you! Whether you need a quiet place to study, tech support, research help, or just a great book to read, our goal is to support your success in your classes and in life. Drop by anytime!
