Dear UU Families,

Every Sunday, I am reminded that spiritual growth is not about having all the answers. It is about making room for wonder, building meaningful connections, and learning how to show up for one another with open hearts. I am so grateful to be on this journey with y'all and to walk alongside your children as they grow into the people they are becoming. What a joy it is to learn, laugh, wonder, create, and explore together!

I love being part of a community where we are encouraged to ask big questions, embrace curiosity, practice compassion, and where we don't just talk about environmentalism or charity but actually put those values into action.

I want to give a great big, heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who has contributed to Uncle Jim’s Cancer GoFundMe to help my nieces and Andi Harris' ASL GoFundMe after seeing the office newsletter. Wow!

Your generosity is a beautiful reminder that love is more than a feeling. It is something we do. When people we care about need support, we find ways to help, offer hope, and remind one another that no one has to face life's challenges alone.

Seeing our community rally around Andi and Uncle Jim has warmed my heart and reminded me how powerful it is when people come together to care for one another.

Thank you for being part of this wonderful, big-hearted UU community. We don't get everything right all the time, but we've got the love bit down pat.

I can't wait to see you on October 18th for the Halloween party. Keep your eyes peeled for the spirit of Dolly Parton!

With gratitude, joy, and so much love,

🧡 Sunday Shae

One Room School-House Style

This week there will be Sunday school, but no Miss Sunday. Instead, RE learning hour will look a little different, and it will be more "one-room schoolhouse style."

Miss Addie will serve as the lead teacher and guide the chalice circle. Miss Marie will watch the babies in the nursery, and Miss Summer will float between the classrooms and help wherever she is needed. Parent volunteers are welcome.

Time for All Ages for October 11, 2026
Hey Parents,

I'm unable to join y'all this Sunday, so I made a video of my reading the story from my living room that I hope you and your kids enjoy!

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone next Sunday, October 18th, for our Halloween Party!

It's wear your costume to church day! Woo Whoo!

We do need additional volunteers that morning to help with decorating and passing out treats, so if you feel called to serve that way, I'll be immensely grateful, as will the kids!

Good luck staying dry this weekend, and let me know if you need anything.

Hugs and high-fives,

Sunday Shae

You're invited to a spook-tacular Sunday treat at UUFH! Wear your costume and come to UU for fun and fellowship!

Please remember to be creative, but avoid any costumes that will scare our youngest UUs or include weapons.

Adults are needed to pass out candy in the Fellowship Hall to the kids as they trick or treat from room to room! Please email Sunday at sundayshaeparker@uufhnc.org OR call her!
