Senior of the Week
Leilani Miramontes is nominated by her counselor Mr. Elder. "For three and a half years now, she has consistently earned A and B grades, contributed to our school's athletic program through soccer and track, and is one of the most mature and delightful young ladies I've ever had the pleasure of knowing."
Athlete of the Week - Girls Wrestling
Serena Shen was nominated by her wrestling Coach, Peterson. "Serena has excelled this season both inside the classroom and on the mat. She has a GPA of 3.8 inside of the classroom and has a girls ' team-best record of 14 wins this season. Along with those 14 wins, she has placed 4th in two tournaments and 2nd in one tournament, respectively, this season. We are proud of your accomplishments and representing Rowland Raiders Wrestling the right way!"
Athlete of the Week - Boys Wrestling
Ronin Thompson was nominated by his wrestling Coach, Peterson. "Ronin has excelled on the mat this season with a tie for a team-best record of 20 wins and 7 losses. He has placed 3rd in two different tournaments this season as well. We are proud of his accomplishments this season and representing Rowland Raiders Wrestling!"
Scholar of the Week
Ms. Woo, from the Social Science Department, nominates Nathaniel Li. "Nathaniel is an actively engaged student in APUSH. He contributes to discussions both in small groups and with the entire class. He helps his peers when they ask questions and makes sure to ask questions himself when he does not understand something."
