Principal's note:
The end of the year is always bittersweet, but it's also a time for exciting new beginnings! We have many fun end-of-year events planned, including some special welcoming experiences for our incoming sixth-grade students and their families:
- Coffee with the Principal for Current Fifth-Grade Caregivers: If you're a caregiver of a current fifth-grade student, please join me for coffee here at the Middle School on Wednesday, June 4th at 10 AM.
- Fifth-Grade Student Tour: In the afternoon on June 4th, our fifth-grade students will join us for a tour of the school and a chance to meet their future teachers, accompanied by their current teachers.
- Incoming Student & Parent Orientation Night: Mark your calendars for August 21st at 6 PM for an orientation night where incoming students and parents can see the building and learn more about our fabulous school community.
It's hard to believe we have just ten more school days together! It has been a truly wonderful year, and we are so grateful you share your awesome children with us.
Warmly,
Ana

WELCOME TO COACH MORONEY
Millis Varsity Coach for Boys Basketball
Connor Moroney is a graduate of Oliver Ames High School (Class of 2016) and earned his degree in Health & Physical Education from the University of New Hampshire in 2020. He has spent the last five years teaching in the Norwood Public Schools and brings a strong background in both education and coaching. He began his coaching career at Oliver Ames as a member of the 2020–2021 staff under the late Coach Don Byron. In the years since, he has continued to grow through valuable experiences across multiple sports and programs, including coaching football at Norton High School (since 2021) under his former high school coach, along with joining the basketball staff at Franklin High School in 2022. At Franklin, he served as both the Head Freshman Coach and a Varsity Assistant, contributing to a championship-caliber program and learning the structure, standards, and habits that drive long-term team success. Coach Moroney believes in building strong, positive relationships as the foundation of any great program. His vision for Millis Basketball is to create a culture rooted in hard work, pride, and togetherness—where student-athletes grow not only as players but as young men. He is committed to fostering competitive confidence, supporting academic achievement, and helping each athlete maximize their potential both on and off the court. Coach Moroney is honored to join the Millis community and looks forward to building a program that reflects the school’s tradition and values—one the town can be proud of for years to come.
