World Mental Health Day, October 10, 2026 & Depression Awareness Month

World Mental Health Day, globally aims to raise awareness and mobilize support to improve mental health. Depression Awareness Month is a reminder to prioritize emotional well-being, break the stigma around mental health, and to learn warning signs early so that others can be supported.

Signs of depression and coping mechanisms

To help members of our school communities have access to mental health resources they may need, the four districts partner with Care Solace, for care coordination to connect students, families, and staff to mental health care providers. Reach out to your child's school counseling team, or contact Care Solace directly.

If you or someone you know needs immediate support, call or text the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988 or chat 988lifeline.org, or the Massachusetts Behavioral Health Helpline at 833-773-2445, masshelpline.com.

National Bullying Prevention Month

National Bullying Prevention Month focuses on awareness and prevention of bullying and cyberbullying while promoting acceptance, kindness and inclusion. As children share stories about their day with parents and caregivers, Bullying Prevention 101 for Adults is a brief guide to support related conversations.
